Bealtaine — a private countryside farmhouse retreat with sauna, hot tub and cold plunge
Bealtaine sits in open countryside on the Leitrim and Roscommon border, fifteen minutes from Carrick-on-Shannon and the river. It was built for the part of a break most houses forget: the hours between doing things.
The wellness area. A private dry sauna for four to six. A hot tub under open sky. A cold plunge beside it, an outdoor shower to rinse between them, and an open fire pit a few steps away. There is a WC out there too, so you needn't head back indoors. It is all yours for the whole stay. No booking a slot, no sharing with other guests, no set hours. The path out to it is lit from dusk until dawn, so a soak under the stars is part of the point rather than an obstacle.
The house. One bedroom has a king bed and the other has two double beds. Bealtaine accommodates up to six people in total, including children and infants. The sofa bed in the living room offers an alternative sleeping arrangement within that limit. One full bathroom indoors, plus the WC at the wellness area outside. An open kitchen equipped to cook properly and a dining table that seats everyone at once. There is a 25 sqm gym on site as well.
Where you are. Fifteen minutes from Carrick-on-Shannon for restaurants and the river. Duignans XL is seven minutes away. Far enough out that the sky goes properly dark. A car is needed.
Maximum six people, including children and infants. Registered guests only. No day visitors, additional overnight guests, parties or events. The house, grounds and wellness facilities are reserved for your registered party. Additional people cannot be accommodated for an extra fee. Not suitable for hen or stag parties. No pets. No smoking indoors.
