Named after the owner's mother & daughter, Villa Chara takes its name from the Greek word for “joy” a place created for sharing memorable moments with family and friends.
Set on an elevated hillside near Rethymno and surrounded by nature, the villa offers sweeping panoramic views of the Cretan Sea, Rethymno town and the surrounding mountains. Expansive outdoor spaces invite guests to embrace the Cretan lifestyle, from relaxing by the private pool and dining beneath the stars to peaceful moments in the hammock and unforgettable sunsets from the rooftop terrace.
Designed to accommodate up to 8 guests, Villa Chara combines traditional Cretan character with contemporary comfort. Three private bedrooms and a comfortable open loft sleeping, gaming or work area, provide a flexible layout for families and groups of friends, while handmade furnishings, natural materials and carefully selected artistic details create a distinctive and welcoming atmosphere.
Guests can enjoy a private gym, children’s playground, trampoline, table tennis and oversized outdoor chess, with generous grounds offering plenty of space to relax, play and spend time together.
Peacefully immersed in nature yet within easy reach of Rethymno, Villa Chara offers a wonderful balance of privacy, relaxation and convenience, as well as an ideal base for discovering Crete’s spectacular south coast.
Important: The private swimming pool will be temporarily unavailable until 30 November 2026 due to essential maintenance. It will be fully available for the 2027 season.
