The house is a large Victorian townhouse, a former vicarage. It has been updated over the years, with gas central heating a modern electrics, but the house has never been over-restored. Hence it retains a unique and charming historic patina, with many of its original period features still in place, including open fires, ceiling roses, a Minton tiled hallway, and the original pitch pine floors.
