Located close to the River Tamar, this delightful retreat for two is a cosy base for exploring the Tamar valley area of natural beauty and south Cornwall and Devon. The bustling town of Saltash is just 3 miles away, from Saltash Pier you can catch a ferry across the Tamar to Plymouth’s historic Barbican to discover the city’s rich maritime heritage and stroll around The Hoe. Close by is the pretty village of St Mellion with its renowned golf course. The south coast of Cornwall is dotted with picture-postcard fishing villages, including Polperro and Looe (19 miles). Sample fresh seafood and wander the traffic-free streets soaking up the atmosphere. For somewhere a little more off the beaten track, head to the Rame Peninsula (17 miles), where you’ll find quiet beaches and former smuggling villages to explore. Other attractions in the area include the Lost gardens of Heligan, the Eden Project and many National Trust properties. Adrenaline Quarry is also nearby, offering open water swimming, zip lines and go-carting.


Take four external steps up to the entrance of this charming bijou base and step inside to find an open-plan studio layout. Exposed ceiling beams add rustic charm, while skylights provide natural illumination to the space. At one end of the room is a contemporary kitchen, equipped with an air fryer and other cooking essentials, plus a coffee machine for your daily caffeine fix. Next to this, a couple of cosy armchairs and a coffee table create a comfortable spot for drinks and nibbles, while you can watch the Smart TV from the comfort of the king-size bed. Just off this space is a vintage-style shower room for energising soaks to wake you up in the morning.


The outside space has a covered seating area and BBQ for enjoying sizzling treats. On cooler evenings, keep warm beside the wood burner as you watch day turn into night. Parking for one car is provided in the allocated space at the front of the property.
