You'll find it in the quaint village of Owermoigne, a historic spot that's home to the ancient St Michaels church (setting of Thomas Hardy's The Distracted Preacher) and Dorset's oldest inhabited house - Moignes Court. From here, follow a waymarked footpath all the way to the coastline, discovering beauty spots including Osmington Mills (4.5 miles) and Ringstead Bay (3 miles). Durdle Door, one of Dorset's most iconic landmarks, is just a little further along the coast (5.5 miles), alongside Lulworth Cove (6.5 miles) with its twinkling turquoise waters. For a family friendly beach day out Weymouth is just 6 miles away. Staying inland, the market town of Dorchester is just a short drive away (7 miles). Once home to the world-famous author and poet Thomas Hardy, it also boasts a selection of galleries and museums to suit visitors of all ages and interests.

This handsome cottage is overflowing with traditional appeal, from its original thatched roof to its stone-flagged floors, low beams and exposed brickwork throughout. Step through the entrance hall, and you'll find the first of the property's bedrooms – a double – just off the main hallway. From here, continue into the lounge, where an inglenook fireplace with a hearty wood burner forms the heart of the room. Soft seating is arranged around a Smart TV, creating an exceptionally cosy space to unwind. A small step leads up to a secondary seating area, a delightful sunroom overlooking the lawn. At the rear of the property, a galley kitchen and traditional dining area combine to create a practical space for preparing and enjoying meals together, while a few steps lead up to the ground-floor bathroom, which features a shower over the bath. A steep, winding staircase leads to the first floor, where you'll find the remaining two bedrooms: another double and a cosy single.
