A holiday base for families, surfers, and coastal walkers, it opens up a stretch of coastline rich in surf beaches, cliff-top walks, and sheltered coves. Wild headlands frame a natural open-air tidal pool that fills at low tide for swimming. The coastal path leads south from the beach to Wheal Coates mine and the heritage coastline around St Agnes, while the surfing beaches at Fistral Beach and Watergate Bay lie to the north. A cliff-top golf course overlooks the town, and the streets below are lined with independent boutiques and cafes. Perranporth sits mid-coast, so the quieter bays and coves in both directions are within reach.
