This is a stunning new hotel in a quiet street just off the main road into town. It is just a short 10 minute walk to Labi Hovuz and the bazaars/restaurants. The décor throughout is in a beautiful, opulent, Uzbek style that makes you feel transported to a royal palace. It looks even more beautiful than the pictures.
The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, and very easy to communicate with with regards to arranging a transfer from the train station to the hotel.
The rooms were very spacious and spotlessly clean, and the beds/bedding super comfortable allowing a perfect night's sleep after a busy day of sightseeing. The room was a work of art, with decorations all over the walls and ceiling, and so cosy that I didn't feel like leaving! The lighting was also so perfect, with a choice of main ceiling chandelier, brighter spotlights, warmer bedside lamps, and accent lighting in the wall alcoves. You might notice if you've been traveling around Uzbekistan, they love their harsh, bright, cool lighting! So this was such a welcome change to have warm, cosy lights in the room!
Breakfast was great too, with a large variety of warm/cold dishes in a buffet, and plenty of seating. All the staff we met greeted us with a warm smile, which made us feel most welcome :)
One little detail that we missed was a shower curtain for the bath tub. Without it, it was a little difficult to shower without spraying water on the floor, but apart from that everything was wonderful!
