About this house rental
This 18th century house, typical of Norman half-timbered architecture, will welcome its guests (6 to 8) with comfort and warmth for a unique foray into historic Honfleur.Maison Louédin is located in the heart of the millennial city center, a stone's throw from Sainte Catherine church and the Vieux Bassin.An online 3D virtual tour of the entire Louédin House is possible via an information request.
It is a historic house, having benefited from careful restoration and respectful of its past, which combines the charm of the old with the comfort of modernity. It has a large reception capacity with 3 independent rooms spread over 3 floors: each room has a secure entrance, a tea and coffee area and an adjoining bathroom with shower or bath. The house can accommodate two additional travelers: one of the two sofas in the living room is convertible. Again the additional couple of travelers will be able to benefit from their own bathroom with bathtub (the house has 4 bathrooms in total). The windows of the rooms overlook either a quiet garden or the burnt street (traditional street in the cobbled center of the heart of Honfleur).
We are right in the center of the Sainte Catherine district: everything is done on foot in the cobblestone streets from your home to museums and art galleries and back from the restaurants to your home.
Transport
You will find near the House three car parks (5 min, 15 min and 20 min on foot) free of charge allowing you to fully enjoy your stay in the heart of the city.
NB: a high chair, a changing table / bathtub combo and a travel cot are available on site.

The house was excellent for 6 adults and very clean. The location is also very good. The sealing of the room in the basement is very low so we bumpt our head many times. Not so agreabel for tall people (over 1.60m). The bathrooms in the 2 other rooms are very small and cooking in the kitchen is difficult with only 2 cooking plates. However, we loved our stay and we had a nice time.

A beautiful property with private rooms on different levels but in a homely setting, right in the middle of the old town and so very close to the harbour. It was perfect for our adult family, and had everything we needed for our stay, even the parking nearby.

The property is quite charming and fully equipped as advertised. One exception seemed that it wasn’t prepared for North American coffee preferences. I had to purchase a drip coffee maker as every room was equipped with an espresso machine. The photos make it appear larger than it is but in time you adjust and make it home. There were some mechanical issues like burned out lights and a broken heater control then made one room uncomfortable. We were able to deal with those in time. We stayed for two months and became quite comfortable with the location in the heart of Honfleur. We even began relationships with the neighbors. Parking is available but inconvenient. Overall it gets our enthusiastic recommendation.
