Step straight out to wander the magnificent grounds in which Holkham Hall sits, keeping an eye out for herds of deer and other wildlife as you go. Wander 1 mile to the golden expanses of Holkham Beach, often voted to be one of the most beautiful beaches in the UK. Head 2 miles into Wells-next-the-Sea, where the wide, open sands continue and there is a myriad of shops, eateries and seaside attractions, or 8.5 miles to Morston Quay to book a boat trip out to see colonies of grey seals. Burnham Market, with its colourful independent shops and gastropubs set around the village green, is just over 4 miles from the cottage.

Gather in the lounge to chat about your day and plan your next adventure. Light the wood burner in here on crisp autumn and winter days before settling down to your current boxset on the Smart TV. Amble through to the chic kitchen/diner to prepare fresh Norfolk produce for your family or friends. This has been equipped with everything you are likely to need to assist you in your endeavours. Make a cup of fresh coffee in the machine, pause at the table to write a few postcards home before laying it for the next meal. Also conveniently located downstairs is a utility/boot room where you can leave your walking boots or beach shoes, and your family shower room, ideal for rinsing off the salt and sand following afternoons along the coast. Both bedrooms are on the upper floor of the cottage. These sumptuous spaces include a super-king-size room, with zip-and-link beds that can be made into a twin on request, and a family bedroom. This features a single bed with truckle underneath, as well as another super-king-size that can also be made up as a twin by prior agreement. The family bathroom, with a free-standing bath and a walk-in shower, is also here.
