About this cottage rental
After parking your cars, you are welcomed to the rear of the property, through the delightful hallway, where you can leave behind your muddy boots after a day on the fells. You are free to dry off your coats and feed the dogs in the utility room, before venturing into the rest of this stunning property. Head into the well-equipped kitchen with beautiful original exposed beams. Here, find a centre island/breakfast bar as well as a small breakfast table to sit at with a morning coffee whilst taking in the countryside views through the windows or patio doors. Take two steps down into the elegant open-plan lounge/dining room. The lounge area has two stylish sofas to snuggle up on whilst watching a film on the Smart TV, and in the cooler evenings, why not light up the wood burner, filling the room with a cosy ambiance. With feature pieces of furniture, including the original 1687 dresser, meals can be enjoyed around the dining table whilst being steeped in history. On the same floor you can find the first of the four bedrooms, a large single bedroom with access to the rear garden. There is also a shower room across the hall. Upstairs you can find the well-appointed family bathroom, complete with a grand roll-top bath. Children of the group are welcome to make use of the twin bedroom, whilst couples can choose from the master king-size room or a double bedroom, each offering delightful views to the gardens and fields beyond.
Outside you are free to explore the wildlife garden at the rear of the property, with a pond and plenty of places to explore. The front patio offers a great space to enjoy your morning coffee, whilst taking in the stunning views.
