Adventure awaits! Western NC and North GA abound with opportunities for recreation and relaxation. Set your sights on long-range views with visits to Bell Mountain in Hiawassee (30-minute drive) and Brasstown Bald (highest point in GA, 45-minute drive). Spend the day on Lake Chatuge with a boat or personal watercraft rental from a local marina or launch your own from nearby public access. Want to immerse yourself in nature in the Nantahala National Forest? Bring your mountain bikes and ride the first-class trails at Jackrabbit Mountain (also great for hiking and dog-friendly) 20 minutes from the property. Fires Creek Recreation Area (25-minute drive) is another Western NC local favorite for hiking with picturesque views, swimming, and trout fishing. On the GA side, take a 1 hour drive to a waterfall hike via the High Shoals Falls Trail or make 50 minute drive to Alpine Helen, GA for a taste of Bavaria in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Hungry and thirsty after a day of exploration? Visit the outstanding local restaurants, wineries, and breweries in and around downtown Hayesville and Hiawassee for not-to-be-missed tastes of local flavor.

We love the #lakelife around here as well as the majestic mountains. So much to do and see right in town. We have a handy Welcome Book in the house full of dining options, things to do, shopping, hiking and waterfall trails. Wineries with live music events and tastings are plentiful!

There are several excellent boat rental places in the area! We use Lake Chatuge Marine, the fellas will help you out! All kinds of water toys too, like jet skis, stand up paddle boards and kayaks.

• Dining table seats 10 and the breakfast table seats 4.
• Livingroom has plenty of comfortable seating for 8 and Smart TV.
• Screened in front porch with plenty of seating overlooking lake and mountain views.
• Open deck off kitchen with tables that seat 8.
• Large kitchen pantry has broom, vacuum, and Swiffer if needed.

• Bedroom 4 has king with Smart TV.
