About this house rental
It comprises a 45 m² living room, a fitted kitchen, four bedrooms, a shower room (with shower), and you can enjoy a garden of around 500 m². Wi-Fi (fibre optic), bed linen and towels included – we’re just waiting for you!
The property is laid out as follows:
On the ground floor:
– A 45 m² living room with a sofa, projector and dining area.
– An open-plan kitchen, equipped with, amongst other things: an electric kettle, oven, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, hob…
– Bedrooms 1, 2 and 3: each with a queen-size bed (160x200).
– A shower room with a walk-in shower.
– A separate toilet.
Upstairs:
– Bedroom 4: with two double beds (140x190) and two single futons.
The loft is accessible via a ladder from the ground floor.
For even greater comfort, the owners provide the following additional facilities: barbecue, high chair, washing machine, fan, ironing board and iron.
Outdoors:
– An above-ground swimming pool (private, heated) measuring 7 x 3 m, open from late April to mid-October.
– A private, enclosed garden of 500 m² with trees and garden furniture to enjoy the sunny days. Depending on the season, guests will find cherry trees (May–June), plum trees (August), mulberry trees (late August) and walnut trees (September–October) — a living garden, the fruit from which is available for guests to enjoy.
The house is ideally situated in Assigny, in a very pleasant setting. All the essential shops can be found 4 km away in Savigny-en-Sancerre.
Things to do:
– La Borne Pottery Museum — In the village chapel. Ceramics from the 18th to the 20th century, from the Talbot family collection.
– Saint-Étienne Cathedral — a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the finest Gothic cathedrals in France.
– The Archbishop’s Gardens.
– Gien Pottery Works — founded in 1821, still in operation. Adjoining museum and shop.
– Briare Canal Bridge — 662 metres long, designed by Eiffel (1896), the longest metal canal bridge in France.
– Museum of the Two Navies and the Canal Bridge.
– Museum of Mosaics and Enamels.

Transport:
You’ll need to come by car. You can park directly in the house’s shared courtyard (space for 4 vehicles).
As for other modes of transport, here is some information you may find useful:
– Cosne-sur-Loire railway station is about 14 km away.
– Bourges Airport is about 50 km away.
Other notes:
– Bed linen and towels included.
– Free Wi-Fi available (fibre optic).
– Pets are allowed in the accommodation for an additional charge of €15 per pet. Please specify this when booking.
– End-of-stay cleaning is included in your booking and involves preparing the accommodation for future guests. We would be grateful if you could leave it in a reasonably clean condition and clean any kitchen appliances after use.
– Parents are responsible for supervising their children whilst swimming. Opening dates are not binding and are subject to favourable weather conditions.
– Any request for arrival or departure outside the specified times is subject to the availability of the reception staff. A flat-rate surcharge may apply.
