About this house rental
Discover the Rock House on Herron Island, a unique Pacific Northwest retreat surrounded by nature. Enjoy stunning views overlooking the water and Olympic Mountains with spectacular sunsets from the west side of the island. Watch for a wide variety of birds, including bald eagles, owls and herons, along with friendly deer that often wander by. On a lucky day you might see ORCAS OR HUMPBACKS. Relax on the deck, soak in the hot tub and experience the quiet beauty and charm of island life.
The Rock House is a private vacation home on more than two acres. The owners have a separate, detached residence on the property that they occupy part-time. Guests have exclusive use of the Rock House and its designated outdoor spaces.

Loft Area - Single Sofa Bed & Futon

1 upstairs with bath tub
1 downstairs with walk in shower
1 downstairs with walk in shower and laundry area
Hot Tub with outdoor shower to rinse before and after use.
Gas BBQ on deck
Guests have access to the following:
North Beach - swimming , kayaking, picnicking, playground for kids
South Beach - hiking, beach walking
Community Park- baseball, pickle ball, basketball, playground
Community Road- dog walking (ISLAND RULES- dogs must be on LEASH at all times)
This is a private island that does not have common amenities. Please plan wisely because there are no stores, gas stations, medical facilities on the island. It's just a residential only island.
Herron Island is 1 and half hour away from Seattle by car . Transportation to the island is via private ferry. Ferry information can be found on the Herron Island Website. The Rock House is 2 minutes away from the ferry dock . You will need an access card to use the ferry which we provide. Ferry fees are paid by guests.
Ferry Fees for round trip :
1 car and a driver- $25.00
Additional Passengers-$5.00
Under 5 yrs old is free
Cash only (no large bills and no debit credit card)
A waiver must be signed to use the kayaks or bikes, prior . Life jacket required for kayaking.
