About this cottage rental
Part of a peaceful group of five converted barns on a 13-acre farm, the property is full of character, from its thick stone walls to the exposed oak beams and cosy corners. Step through the door and you'll find yourself in a kitchen that's equal parts functional and charming. Recently updated, it features a Smeg oven, ceramic hob, coffee machine, fridge freezer and all the usual appliances, with white metro tiles and slate-grey flooring adding a crisp modern edge. The dining table comfortably seats six and sits between two windows one with courtyard views, the other out to fields where horses and pigs graze contentedly.
Next stop: the living room, where two inviting sofas face a log-burning stove, ideal for warming toes and hearts after a windswept coastal walk. A Smart TV handles any tech needs, but frankly, the best screen is through the French doors leading onto your own private raised deck. The view? A sweeping, tranquil woodland valley that practically begs you to sit with a glass of wine and contemplate buying a Welsh dictionary.
There are three bedrooms across the two floors. The bunk room downstairs is snug and cheerful, great for kids or single guests. Upstairs, the master bedroom is delightfully spacious, with its own walk-in wardrobe, front and rear windows, a dressing table and a little wicker seating nook for peaceful morning coffee.
The second double bedroom, likely once the stable hand's quarters, has its own external stone staircase a wonderfully quirky feature that also means you can sneak out early for walks without waking the whole house.
The family bathroom is another modern gem: recently renovated with a full-size bath, Roper Rhodes rainwater shower, and a glowing LED-lit mirror for the ultimate post-adventure pamper.
And just in case there's a shared laundry room on site with washer, dryer, and ironing board (we don't recommend using the latter unless absolutely necessary).
High Chair on request.
There is a washing machine, tumble drier and ironing facilities in the shared laundry facility.
Outdoor playground.
We’re happy to welcome 2 well-behaved dogs. Please keep them supervised at all times and don’t leave them unattended. To keep the space comfy for everyone, we kindly ask that they stay off the furniture and out of the bedrooms. Feel free to bring their favourite bed, blanket, and anything else to make them feel at home!
