About the home

“Phillip Island Cottages” is a collection of 6 original beach cottages in central Cowes, just metres from the Beach, and a short walk from the supermarkets, restaurants & cafés of Cowes. Guests have exclusive use of all 6 Cottages which have their own separate entrances, and share the fantastic central Village Green. Some of the many features of these lovely (but simple) homes are detailed below:

Indoor Areas

Cottages One & Six (3-BR Cottages)
The Central Living Room (with wall-mounted 56" smart TV) provides a fantastic area to congregate, and flows through to the open plan Kitchen/Dining Room (with access to the rear Courtyard). Bedroom 1 (with BIR) and Bedroom 3 are accessed off the Living Room, while Bedroom 2 (with BIR), the Bathroom (with shower) and a separate Toilet all lead off the Kitchen/Dining Room.

Cottages Two & Five (2-BR Cottages)
The Central Living/Dining Room (with wall-mounted 44" smart TV in Cottage 2 & wall-mounted 55" smart TV in Cottage 5) provides a fantastic area to congregate, and flows through to the open plan Kitchen (with access to the rear Courtyard). Bedroom 1 (with BIR) is accessed off the Living/Dining Room, while Bedroom 2 (with BIR) and the Bathroom (with shower & separate Toilet) lead off the Kitchen.

Cottages Three & Four (1-BR Cottages)
The Central Living/Dining Room (with wall-mounted 44" smart TV in Cottage 3 & 50" smart TV in Cottage 4) provides a fantastic area to congregate, and flows through to the open plan Kitchen. Off this central area are Bedroom 1 (with BIR & free standing drawers) and the Bathroom (with shower & separate Toilet).

Outdoor Areas

The huge shared Village Green between all six Cottages provides a fantastic outdoor space, with a central grassy area and an adjoining shared BBQ pavilion (with gas BBQ & seating for 12 or more people) with space for ball games, kids to run around and adults to spread out. Cottages 1, 2, 5 & 6 have fully covered Porches (each with 2 tables and seating for 4 people) that run the length of each Cottage and face on to the Village Green.

There is parking for 10+ vehicles on the block (cars and/or a boat) plus additional on-street parking if required. Each of the Cottages has a private Courtyard (Cottages 1, 2, 5 & 6 are fully enclosed), with each one having seating for between 3-6 people.

There is a central communal fully equipped Laundry (with coin-operated washing machine and free clothes dryer) plus each Cottage has a clothes line in its private Courtyard.

Please note: The home has external security cameras facing the Village Green, but they do not face any internal private areas.

Kitchens

Each Cottage has a Kitchen with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, Nespresso coffee pod machine, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, full-sized fridge and electric cook top. Cottages One and Six also feature an electric oven in the Kitchen.

Heating/Cooling Systems

Each of the Cottages have a wall mounted reverse cycle air conditioner in the open plan Kitchen/Living/Dining room.

Between the six dwellings there are 20 beds, accommodating up to 28 guests:

Cottage 1, Bedroom 1: One Queen bed
Cottage 1, Bedroom 2: Two King Single beds
Cottage 1, Bedroom 3: Two King Single beds

Cottage 2, Bedroom 1: One Queen bed
Cottage 2, Bedroom 2: Two King Single beds

Cottage 3, Bedroom 1: One Queen bed and One Single Bed

Cottage 4, Bedroom 1: One Queen bed and One Single Bed

Cottage 5, Bedroom 1: One Queen bed
Cottage 5, Bedroom 2: Two King Single beds

Linen

Linen is included for all bookings. This includes doonas (quilts) with covers, sheets, pillows with covers, tea towels, hand towels, bath towels & bath mats.

Peak Periods

Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.

Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies

Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties, or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies, irrespective of whether school-leavers are part of the official Schoolies Program. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process. Local council restrictions are in place for this property, and compliance is mandatory.
