Summary:

A charming black cottage with a green roof in the peaceful village of Oyndarfjørður. The cottage sleeps four across a bedroom and cosy loft, with warm pine interiors, a private wooden terrace and beautiful views of the fjord and surrounding mountains. The harbour, historic church and famous rocking stones are all within walking distance. A peaceful base for discovering Eysturoy and the northern Faroe Islands.



The Space:

The cottage is around 50 m² across two floors. Downstairs is an open living area with a large corner sofa, dining table and fully equipped kitchen. The bathroom has a shower, toilet and basin. Upstairs, a very steep and narrow wooden staircase leads to four single beds across two sleeping areas, including one with stunning fjord views through large glass doors. A washing machine and tumble dryer are also available.



Guest Access:

The entire cottage is private and yours to enjoy, including both floors, the bathroom, terrace and surrounding grass area. Check-in is self-service using a key box, with the code and arrival instructions provided before your stay. One free parking space is available directly beside the cottage. The Neighborhood:

Oyndarfjørður is a peaceful village on the northeast coast of Eysturoy, with colourful houses stretching up the green hillside above the fjord. The historic church, harbour and pier are just a short walk away. Nearby are the famous Rinkusteinar, two boulders that gently rock with the movement of the sea. Expect sheep, seabirds and spectacular views. There is no shop in the village, so we recommend bringing supplies.



Getting Around:

A car is the easiest way to reach the cottage and explore the surrounding area. Oyndarfjørður is around 45 minutes from Tórshavn and approximately 1.5 hours from Vágar Airport. Free parking is available beside the cottage. Fuglafjørður, with supermarkets, a bank and petrol station, is about 10 minutes away by car. Gjógv, Eiði and Slættaratindur are all within easy reach.

Weather Preparation: Faroese weather is famously dynamic and can shift rapidly within minutes. We strongly advise packing layered, wind- and waterproof clothing alongside sturdy, broken-in hiking boots.



Standard Times: Standard check-in begins at 4:00 PM, and check-out is requested by 10:00 AM.
