Welcome to Delmarvelous, a welcoming coastal escape in the Bay Creek community of Cape Charles. The home's generous layout gives groups room to come together and room to recharge, with comfortable living areas, a well-equipped kitchen, and spaces designed for easy vacation living.



Enjoy morning coffee on the deck, meals fresh from the propane grill, and evenings around the outdoor propane fire table. The large backyard and basketball hoop add space for outdoor fun, while the game room creates an easy gathering spot indoors. After a day at the beach or exploring Cape Charles, settle in with Roku TV, board games, central air, and the convenience of in-home laundry.



Sleeping accommodations include five advertised bedrooms, which includes a loft area with a queen Murphy bed and twin daybed with trundle. Bonus sleeping space above the garage is set up as a game room with four hideaway twin beds.



Community beach access, located in the Bayside Village, is approximately one mile from the home. Beach towels are provided; please bring any preferred beach chairs, umbrellas, and toys.

This home includes complimentary access to a variety of Bay Creek Resort amenities, ideal for active and nature-loving guests. Enjoy a junior Olympic-size pool, tennis and pickleball courts, a private community beach, and more than 10 miles of scenic hiking and biking trails through a 365-acre nature preserve.



Bay Creek Life Center Resort Package: Optional Purchase

Guests may add access to Bay Creek's Life Center resort package for an additional $75/night. The Life Center includes three pools, a slide, splash pad, and fitness center. A Bay Creek Life Center e-sign waiver is required before access is issued. Resort-package access applies for the full length of the reservation; partial-stay access is not available. Guests who purchase the package may also be able to book tee times and rent beach chairs and umbrellas for additional fees.



Guest Access:

This home uses keyless entry for self-check-in; your door code is sent by email and text 24 hours prior to arrival.



Parking is available for up to four vehicles in the driveway only. Street parking and garage parking are not available. RVs, boats, and trailers must use the overflow parking near the community pool.



Early check-in and late check-out may be available upon request and are subject to availability. Please contact us at least 24 hours in advance.



The Neighborhood:

Delmarvelous is located in Signature Village of the gated Bay Creek community of Cape Charles, a relaxed coastal setting on Virginia's Eastern Shore. Guests have community beach access approximately one mile from the home and complimentary access to select Bay Creek amenities, including a junior Olympic-size pool, tennis, community beach, and more than 10 miles of hiking and biking trails through a 365-acre nature preserve. Guests can also access community and member pools, private beach, gym, dining, tennis, pickleball, and golf amenities; some members only facilities may have separate access requirements or fees



Cape Charles' historic district, galleries, boutiques, restaurants, and town beach are a short drive away. Spend the day on the calm Chesapeake Bay, explore the local dining and shopping scene, book a water adventure, or enjoy the area's golf, fishing, kayaking, birding, and biking opportunities.



Getting Around:

Cape Charles is located near the southern tip of Virginia's Eastern Shore on the Chesapeake Bay. A personal vehicle is the easiest way to explore Bay Creek, Cape Charles, and the surrounding Eastern Shore. The historic downtown area is compact and enjoyable to explore on foot or by bike.



Local transportation options include Cape Charles Cab Cart and Carriage, STAR Transit, Uber, and Lyft. Bike and water-sport rentals are available locally. Norfolk International Airport is approximately 45 minutes away by vehicle.

By booking with Chesapeake Properties by Portoro, guests agree to the following guidelines to help ensure a safe, respectful, and enjoyable stay:



• The reservation holder must be at least 25 years old.

• All guests must complete identity registration and sign the rental agreement provided after booking.

• Check-in is at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 10:00 AM. Early arrivals and late departures cannot be guaranteed and may carry a fee when approved.

• Please observe quiet hours from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Parties and events are not permitted.

• No smoking is permitted at the property. Penalty fees may apply for violations.

• Please report any known damage immediately.

• Exterior-only security cameras may be present at the property.

• Use only the propane grill provided for guest use. Do not bring personal grills to the property.

• The indoor fireplace is not operational. Please do not attempt to use it.

• Put trash cans out for early Tuesday collection. Keep bins secured and do not leave food or trash outside, as wildlife and insects are part of the coastal environment.

• The optional Bay Creek Life Center package is $75 per night and must be purchased for the full reservation. A signed e-waiver is required before access is issued.

After booking, the rental agreement and identity-registration request will be sent for e-signature. Check-in details, directions, and the digital guest guide are sent by email and text up to 14 days before arrival. We may also check in by text during your stay to help ensure a five-star experience.
