Stuga Annika – Cozy Holiday Home near Målilla in Småland

Welcome to Stuga Annika, a cozy holiday home in Målilla in the heart of Småland. The house is located in a quiet residential area and is particularly suitable for families and couples who want to enjoy a relaxing holiday in Sweden while being within easy reach of many of the region’s popular attractions.

With around 100 m² of living space, Stuga Annika accommodates up to 5 guests and has three bedrooms. The house was most recently renovated in 2025 and combines the typical charm of a Swedish holiday home with a cozy and family-friendly interior.

The living area offers plenty of space to relax and spend time together. On cooler days, the open fireplace creates a warm and cozy atmosphere. A TV with German channels as well as a DVD player and a selection of DVDs are also available.

Families are well catered for: the house offers a selection of games and books, including books and stories by the popular Swedish children’s author Astrid Lindgren – a perfect introduction to the world of Vimmerby before heading out to explore the region.

The kitchen provides everything you need for self-catering during your stay, while the cozy dining area is ideal for enjoying meals together.

Stuga Annika has three bedrooms with sleeping arrangements for up to five guests. One special feature is the spacious 2 × 2 metre family bed, offering plenty of room. The remaining sleeping arrangements are located in the other two bedrooms.

The bathroom is equipped with a shower and toilet. A washing machine is also available.

The traditional red Swedish house is surrounded by a 1,400 m² garden, providing plenty of outdoor space. Garden furniture is available for relaxing outside, and a charcoal barbecue is provided for summer evenings.

Stuga Annika is located in a residential area in Målilla and is not in a secluded location. There are other residential and holiday homes nearby. This makes it a good choice for guests looking for a peaceful place to stay without being completely isolated.

Målilla is a great starting point for discovering the varied landscape of Småland. Forests, lakes and small traditional Swedish villages characterize the region and provide plenty of opportunities for hiking, cycling, swimming and days out in nature.

There are also several interesting attractions close to the house. Målilla itself has a local heritage museum, offering an insight into the history and traditional life of the area. Nearby Virserum is home to a cultural centre and art gallery with changing exhibitions and events. There is also a moose park in the region, offering the chance to see one of Sweden’s most iconic animals up close.

Families will particularly appreciate the proximity to Vimmerby, the hometown of Astrid Lindgren. Here you will find Astrid Lindgren’s World, one of southern Sweden’s most popular family attractions. Lönneberga and many other places and landscapes associated with Astrid Lindgren’s famous stories can also be explored from Målilla.

Final cleaning is already included in the rental price. Electricity is charged according to actual consumption. Bed linen and towels are not provided and must be brought by the guests. One dog is welcome for an additional fee.
