• The Top Floor Retreat: a magnificent space perfect for an extended family. It includes a spacious bedroom with a king-size bed and a massive dormitory ideal for up to eight children. The dormitory offers a wonderful play area stocked with bookshelves and games, all serviced by an additional large family bathroom.
Travelling with young children is made easy, too: the house comes equipped with two full-size cots, a range of toys, bath seats and more, all available for guest use throughout the stay.
Step outside into a completely private haven. A large, walled courtyard serves as the ultimate outdoor entertaining space, complete with a BBQ area and a fire pit for evening gatherings. Beyond the courtyard, guests are free to explore almost five acres of private lawns, wild fells, and mature woodland, offering an idyllic and secure backdrop for children to play and families to unwind.

Located in dramatic Yorkshire Dales 35 minutes' drive from Kendal and Oxenholme Station (on the London-Glasgow mainline), the property offers direct access to world-class walking, cycling, and pristine countryside, while remaining within easy reach of charming local villages such as Hawes, Sedbergh and Ingleton. Whernside Manor is a five-minute drive from Dent Station, the highest railway station in England, giving convenient access to Leeds via the famous Ribblehead Viaduct.
