📍 The location

Located in the West End/Heysham area of Morecambe, the property provides a convenient base for exploring the Lancashire coast without being far from the area's main attractions.

Take a stroll along the seafront, explore the historic streets of Heysham Village, enjoy the beach at Half Moon Bay or head into Morecambe for restaurants, bars and the famous promenade.

Heysham itself combines sandy coastline and cliff-top walks with significant Anglo-Saxon and Viking-era heritage, while Morecambe offers expansive views across the bay towards the Lakeland fells.

🌅 Why visit Heysham & Morecambe?

This is a brilliant part of the Lancashire coast for guests who want a mixture of seaside, scenery, history and days out. Morecambe Bay is known for its huge coastal views and walking routes, while Heysham offers picturesque village streets, beaches, rock pools and ancient heritage sites.

It also puts guests in a good position to explore Lancaster, making the property suitable for anything from a relaxing coastal weekend to a longer family or business stay.

🍽️ Nearby restaurants & bars

For something particularly convenient, Gusto Italiano is on Alexandra Road and is a handy option for an easy evening meal or takeaway.

Nearby on Regent Road, Garden Of Eden offers another convenient food option, while The Exchange is a good local pub choice for drinks.

The Wellington Bar is another nearby West End option for an evening drink.

For guests happy to head a little further into central Morecambe for a sit-down meal, The Brasserie Greek Restaurant is worth considering.

📸 Best places to visit

⭐ St Patrick's Chapel & Heysham Village — my top recommendation

The ruins of St Patrick's Chapel date back to the early medieval period, with the first phase thought to have been built in the early 8th century. The nearby rock-cut graves are one of Heysham's most distinctive historic sights.

🏖️ Half Moon Bay

A lovely option for a coastal walk, picnic or relaxed afternoon. The bay has a sandy beach, grassy surroundings and rock-pooling opportunities when the tide is out. There's also a scenic walking route between Half Moon Bay and Heysham Village.

🌊 Morecambe Promenade & Eric Morecambe Statue

One of the classic Morecambe experiences. Walk along the promenade, enjoy the views across Morecambe Bay and stop for a photo at the famous Eric Morecambe Statue.

🎭 Morecambe Winter Gardens

A beautiful historic theatre dating from the Victorian era and one of Morecambe's best-known heritage buildings.

🏰 Lancaster Castle

For a longer day out, Lancaster Castle is one of England's best-preserved castles, with guided tours exploring its long history as a court and prison.
