Summary:

Tucked in Hameau des Bois, at the edge of the Désert Blanc and its Nordic trails, this 133 m² chalet unfolds across three levels facing the full sweep of the massif. An open living space onto the terrace, a wood-burning stove, three ensuite bedrooms and room for up to 6 guests: a compact format designed for families or small groups of friends. La Flégère 2 km away, Grands Montets 8 minutes.



The Space:

You enter through the garage, where skis and gear find plenty of room alongside the washing machine. Right next to it, a second fridge, a freezer and a wine cellar let you stock up for the week without cluttering the kitchen — a real plus for larger groups.



The living room opens onto the terrace and a view that takes in the entire massif. Seating for 6, a lounge area with wood-burning stove, books and board games on hand. One detail that never fails to delight guests of all ages: the chalet sits right by Chamonix's mountain rescue helipad, so you may well see the rescue helicopters take off.



On the same level, the kitchen — compact but fully functional — sits tucked behind the staircase. The first bedroom completes this floor, with beds that can be set up as twins or a double, and its own private bathroom (shower + WC).



Upstairs, a bedroom with a double bed enjoys a superb view of the massif, both through the window and the skylight, along with its own full private bathroom (shower + WC).



Downstairs, reached via a narrow staircase, a children's lounge — games, books, a screen and projector — leads to the third bedroom, with a double bed and its own private bathroom featuring a Hammam-style shower.



Three bedrooms, three private bathrooms: each group enjoys its own space, with nothing to share.

The Neighborhood:

Hameau des Bois is one of the most sought-after and peaceful corners of the Chamonix Valley, set among open fields and hiking trails accessible right from the hamlet — beautiful in every season. The Désert Blanc is a 5-minute walk away, with cross-country ski trails reachable directly from the hamlet.



For downhill skiing, La Flégère (linked to Le Brévent) is 2 km away, Grands Montets 8 minutes, Le Tour and Les Houches 15 minutes. A car is recommended to make the most of the valley — without one, getting around is still possible but takes a bit more planning.

Other Things to Note:

The kitchen is on the compact side: you'll find what you need to cook a good meal, but maybe not enough room to have drinks for three at the same time.



The staircases leading to the upper and lower floors are also fairly narrow — not unsafe, just not wide.

The chalet is managed by Pangea Services, a local concierge company based in Les Houches. Their team is available before and throughout your stay to answer questions, organise activities, and ensure everything runs smoothly — from arrival to departure.
