The marina, stores and restaurants are located in the village of Wemeldinge, 300 meters from the park. From the villa park you can make bicycle trips along the water or through the orchards in the area. In the harbor town of Yerseke you can enjoy delicious mussels and oysters. Goes is an old town that you can easily visit by bike, here you can do good shopping.
Wemeldinge offers an appealing base beside the Oosterschelde, surrounded by dykes, waterways and the open landscapes typical of Zeeland. Walk or cycle through the countryside, follow the shoreline and watch sailing boats and seabirds along the way. The historic centre of Goes makes an enjoyable excursion, with attractive streets, shops and inviting places to stop for refreshments. Zeeland's close connection to the sea is also reflected in its cuisine, with mussels, oysters and other local seafood among the regional specialities.
