The Wild Huckleberry is currently being thoughtfully reimagined into a warm, design-forward Smoky Mountain cabin created for families. The photos you see today show the home’s existing architecture and layout while the remodel is underway; the finished interiors, furnishings and custom kids spaces described below will be complete before our first Wild Huckleberry guests arrive.
Close enough to hear the Dollywood train whistle, yet tucked into a peaceful wooded setting, The Wild Huckleberry sleeps 8 across three bedrooms and was created to feel less like a themed vacation rental and more like the family mountain house you wish you had.

We’re close enough to Dollywood that you’ll hear the unmistakable whistle of the Dollywood Express from the cabin.

And when you’re home, you’re not looking out at the Parkway.

One of our favorite parts of The Wild Huckleberry is the kids room.
We didn’t want it to feel like a room where we simply squeezed in as many beds as possible. We wanted the kids to have a space that felt like it belonged to them.
The Huckleberry Kids Room sleeps four with:
3 built-in twin beds + 1 pull-out twin trundle
The room will include reading lights, book ledges, cozy bedding and playful details designed to make each sleeping space feel like its own little hideaway. With a TV all their own, movie nights take on a whole new life.
Think cousins whispering after bedtime, siblings choosing “their” bed the moment they arrive, and the kind of mountain sleepover that becomes part of the trip itself.
AND THEY GET THEIR OWN LOFT
The kids room isn’t the game room. They get both.
Upstairs, the loft gives them another place to hang out with:

KITCHEN + BREAKFAST NOOK + LARGE ISLAND WITH SEATING
The kitchen is being refreshed with family stays in mind, from pancake mornings before Dollywood and trail snacks to easy dinners at home.
Just beyond it, the breakfast nook is one of those little spaces we hope becomes part of the memory of staying here: morning coffee, cereal with sleepy kids, card games after dinner and slow mornings when no one needs to rush.

HOT TUB + FIRE PIT + OUTDOOR TIME
After Dollywood, a day in Pigeon Forge or an afternoon exploring the Smokies, come home and sink into the private hot tub surrounded by the wooded setting. Unwind while you roast some s'mores around the campfire together, curled up in blankets in wooden adirondack chairs while you swap stories of the day and build memories.
The large deck gives you space for morning coffee, fresh mountain air and a quieter end to the day.

The Wild Huckleberry is our own family mountain home, and we hope it feels that way when you’re here.

Because we’re accepting reservations while the transformation is underway, we want to be completely transparent.
The current photography shows the home’s actual architecture, layout and outdoor spaces. Before our first Wild Huckleberry guests arrive, the interiors will be refreshed with new paint, lighting, furnishings, textiles and styling, including the built-in kids room described above.
The bathrooms are receiving cosmetic updates only; their layouts remain unchanged. The existing deck, hot tub and fire pit remain part of the property.
