About this cabin rental

A superb cedar lodge, purposely designed to be the perfect getaway for two, High Bridge Haven is situated in a secluded area with breath-taking views across the Duddon Estuary and the spectacular Lake District mountains beyond, which can be enjoyed from the luxurious hot tub.

Step inside this romantic retreat to an inviting open-plan living area where the squidgy corner sofa awaits cosy nights in for two, in front of the flickering contemporary wood burning stove. The modern kitchen area is a pleasure to cook in and make the most of the larder of fresh local produce of the region, which can be enjoyed from the dining area overlooking the raised terrace and its magnificent views, through bi-folding glazed doors. When it's time for bed, climb into the comfy king-size bed and awake afresh to explore another day. The bedroom enjoys a walk-in wardrobe and a generous en-suite with twin wash basins and a double walk-in shower, along with a convenient door to the hot tub area for a quick change!

In addition to all this, the most important room has to be located outside, where a carefully placed deck and gazebo houses the bubbling hot tub. A joy by day when the best of the breath-taking views can be appreciated, but equally special by night, for stargazing and enjoying the atmospheric lighting scheme.

Located on the Furness peninsula and only a short distance from the village of Kirkby-in-Furness, the lodge is in an ideal spot from which to explore the area's beautiful scenery. There are many rural and coastal walks in the area which offer a fabulous opportunity to catch a glimpse of Cumbria's abundant birds and wildlife. A number of great pubs and restaurants are nearby to try out in Dalton-in-Furness and Ulverston.

Golfers are catered for at the Dunnerholme 10 hole links course, just under 3 miles away, much of which can be seen from the lodge.

High Bridge Haven is the perfect place from which to explore the spectacular beauty of the Lake District National Park, just 10 miles away; along with the much anticipated return and restoration of Donald Campbell's famous Bluebird K7 which is proudly displayed at the Ruskin Museum in Coniston.

Lovely accommodation in a spectacular location, Maxine had left a welcome package on arrival that was unexpected and a lovely treat, much appreciated. View from hot tub is superb, we had a relaxing time that was well worth the trip. Would visit again and would highly recommend to others.

Ever wanted to sit in a hot tub, sipping fizz and watching the South Lakes transform as the weather changes? I didn't how much I did until I was there! Honestly, this place is just amazing. The hot tub next to a babbling brook. A view out over the estuary with twinkling village lights in the evening. The lodge is finished to a high spec with a log burner to make you feel right at home. The welcome we received was so brilliant, with a hamper and chilled fizz. Just perfect. Left in peace the whole time, we enjoyed loads of nearby restaurants and headed up to the Lakes for a walk in the hills. Every night, coming back to a warm, quiet lodge, with a great shower and a comfy bed was just great. Highly recommended!

Absolutely fabulous accommodation, maxine (host) is lovely, views of bay and mountains from hot tub/property are unforgettable. Maxine also leaves a few bits (tea bags etc) which is really thoughtful. Can't fault our stay other than it being minimum half hour drive to Windemere/Coniston but i did want somewhere near askam in furness beach father than smack bang in the middle of the lakes. Owners are on site but you wouldn't know it as you don't see them and the accommodation I'd isolated by bushes. Will be the first accommodation I look for next time I'm in the lakes, absolutely 1st class.

Lovely clean property and hot tub. Even better than the photos on Vrbo. Could have stayed in the hot tub for hours looking at the changing views. Fab relaxing break away.
