Tucked into one of El Gouna's quieter residential pockets, Maraya is a gated compound of villas, townhouses, and apartments set among landscaped gardens, lagoons, and shaded walking and cycling trails — the kind of low-key, green setting that makes El Gouna's "mansions" area feel more like a resort neighborhood than a typical town. It's a short drive from the beach and from a boutique hotel nearby, so guests get a peaceful base without being far from the water.

From Maraya, you're within easy reach of everything that makes El Gouna one of the Red Sea's most loved getaways: the restaurants, boutiques, and nightlife of Downtown El Gouna, the yachts and waterfront dining at Abu Tig Marina, and beach clubs offering kitesurfing, diving, and other water sports along the 10km shoreline. El Gouna is also home to the annual El Gouna Film Festival and a lively year-round social scene, while still keeping its car-free, golf-cart-friendly charm. Hurghada International Airport is about 40km (roughly 45 minutes) away.

El Gouna is a compact, car-free-feeling town, so most guests get around by tuk-tuk rather than driving themselves. These small three-wheeled taxis are the main way to move between areas — you can flag one down, call a local tuk-tuk service, or book one through the Uber app (look for "Uber Toktok"), which is the easiest option for guests unfamiliar with the local dispatch numbers. From Maraya, a tuk-tuk is typically the quickest way into Downtown El Gouna or Abu Tig Marina for dinner or a night out.

For longer stays or day trips further afield, car rental is available through SIXT at El Gouna Marina, and London Cab offers app- or phone-booked chauffeured rides across El Gouna and Hurghada. Bicycles and scooters are also easy to rent and are a nice way to explore the compound and nearby lagoons at your own pace.

To reach El Gouna, most guests fly into Hurghada International Airport, about 40km (roughly 45 minutes) away. Airport transfers can be arranged privately in advance or picked up on arrival — happy to help set this up for guests on request. Once in town, a scenic shuttle boat also connects Downtown to Zaytuna Island in about five minutes, a nice option if you want to combine transport with a bit of sightseeing.

Kindly note that El Gouna is a private compound, and they are the sole authority responsible for approving or declining guest entry and reservations. They also manage and control the QR code system directly.

We always submit guest details immediately from our side; however, the final approval is issued exclusively by El Gouna Security according to their own internal policies and criteria, which are not shared with us.
