About this cottage rental

Crowfoot Cottage is a charming retreat for up to four guests, ideally located in the heart of the village of Stratton and just a two-minute walk from the popular Saxon Arms pub. Nestled in the Frome Valley, Stratton is a delightful Dorset village situated only three miles from the county town of Dorchester, where you'll find an excellent selection of museums, shops, two cinemas, and a fascinating Roman Town House.

The thoughtfully presented accommodation offers everything needed for a comfortable stay. On the ground floor, there is a cosy sitting room with comfortable furnishings, a television, electric fire, and desk. A small conservatory with dining furniture provides a pleasant space to relax, while the bright, well-equipped kitchen and adjoining breakfast area make self-catering easy and enjoyable. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms: a king-size room overlooking the garden and a twin bedroom at the front of the cottage. The family bathroom, complete with a shower, is also located on the first floor.

Outside, accessible via either the kitchen or conservatory, is a fully enclosed, gated garden. The outdoor space features a patio as well as a gravelled seating area with a parasol, creating the perfect spot to unwind on sunny days.

Guests can walk, cycle, or drive into nearby Dorchester and explore its many attractions. The renowned Dorset Museum & Art Gallery showcases the county's natural, historical, and cultural heritage through its world-class collections. Other popular attractions include Shire Hall Museum, The Tutankhamun Exhibition, and The Keep Military Museum. For those who enjoy the outdoors, Maiden Castle, one of Britain's largest Iron Age hill forts, offers spectacular views across the surrounding countryside.

The stunning Jurassic Coast is also within easy reach, with popular destinations including Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door, Weymouth, Burton Bradstock, West Bay, and Charmouth. Whether you're looking for walking and cycling opportunities, historic attractions, coastal adventures, shopping, dining, or just a space in which to relax, Crowfoot Cottage provides an ideally situated base for discovering the very best of Dorset.
