About this house rental
Camp Varney is a five-bedroom, two bath waterfront home that sleeps 11 comfortably, with 135 feet of private shoreline, dock, sandy beach area, fire pit, and plenty of room to settle in after a day exploring everything the Lakes Region has to offer in the Fall. Spend the morning with coffee overlooking the water, head out for a day of leaf peeping around the lake, hiking up Mt. Monadnock, lunch in Meredith or Alton Bay, both 20 minutes away, then come home for a paddle, dinner on the deck, board games, and a fire beside the water.
Inside, Camp Varney retains the character of a traditional Winnipesaukee camp. Warm wood paneling, vintage details, and unfussy spaces for families to use and love. In addition to two of the bedrooms, the main living level includes a large gathering room overlooking the late, dining space for eight, full kitchen, sunroom, and a dedicated office for anyone who needs to sneak in a little work between adventures.
Five bedrooms comfortably accommodate up to 11 guests, with one king bed, one queen, one full, and two bunk rooms; one a twin-over-full and one a twin-over-twin. A separate downstairs hangout gives kids and teenagers a place of their own, while two sets of washers and dryers make longer stays and multi-family trips easier.
Outside is where Camp Varney really earns its name. Guests have access to 135 of private Winnipesaukee shoreline, a dock with two boat slips, a unique coved sandy beach area, three kayaks, a fire pit, lawn space for games, and outdoor dining areas for 8+ near the propane grill.
Two updated bathrooms are available, the main floor bathroom includes a walk-in shower, while the downstairs bathroom includes a walk-in shower and large, separate bathtub. Amenities include Wi-Fi, A/C, heat, TV, and parking for five vehicles. The property does include a number of stairs and slopes. Board games ready for epic battles.
This real New Hampshire camp is ready to be your peaceful getaway, your family retreat, and your base camp for Autumn in New England. Comfortable, character-filled, and meant to be lived in. Bring your sweaters, cameras, that book you've been meaning to read, your loved ones and your fur baby - the lake is waiting.
