About this house rental
The house offers generous living spaces, six bedrooms plus an additional open-plan sleeping area, a separate games barn and a large private garden, making it particularly well suited to families and groups looking for plenty of space to spend time together and relax.
This beautiful Georgian property has generous rooms, period features and plenty of space for larger groups to spread out and relax.
There are two separate lounges, giving guests a choice of cosy spaces to unwind. The Green Room has a traditional open fire, while the second lounge has a wood-burning stove, making the house particularly inviting during autumn and winter stays.
At the heart of the house is the large, characterful kitchen with an Aga and plenty of space for preparing meals and spending time together.
The games barn
The separate games barn is one of the highlights of the property and a real favourite with guests. It has a full-size pool table, dartboard, bar, TV and comfortable seating, providing a fantastic additional space for groups to spend time together.
Bi-fold doors open directly onto the garden, making the barn a great space throughout the year.
Above the main games area is a mezzanine snug, particularly popular with older children and teenagers. Oversized floor cushions create a relaxed space to stretch out, chat, watch TV or enjoy some time away from the main living areas.
Outside
The large private garden offers plenty of room to relax and enjoy warmer days. There are two outdoor dining tables seating eight each, a comfortable outdoor sofa area and a BBQ.
With the games barn opening directly onto the garden, guests can easily move between the indoor and outdoor spaces during the warmer months.
Sleeping arrangements
Top floor: Two king-size bedrooms, plus a large open-plan sleeping area normally arranged with two single beds, which can be made into a super king on request.
Middle floor: The master bedroom has a super king-size bed, private en-suite and dressing room. A second large bedroom has a super king-size bed plus a double sofa bed, and a further double bedroom has its own private en-suite. There is also a separate family bathroom on this floor.
Ground floor: The Garden View bedroom has a king-size bed and its own private adjoining accessible wet room with shower, toilet, basin and handrails. There is also a separate WC next to the wet room.
The Garden View bedroom, wet room, entrance and relevant communal areas are step-free, making this a particularly suitable option for guests with reduced mobility or wheelchair users.
Travel cots or a single Z-bed can also be accommodated in some of the larger bedrooms.
Location
The house is just a few minutes' walk from the centre of the historic market town of Thrapston, where you'll find independent shops, cafés, pubs and places to eat.
Beautiful walks along the River Nene are also close by, giving guests the best of both worlds: a large, private property while still being able to walk into town.
There is ample private driveway parking for six or more cars, making the house particularly convenient for larger groups arriving separately.
Please note
The property accommodates a maximum of 16 overnight guests. The mezzanine snug is accessed by stairs and may not be suitable for very young children.
