Around the castle ruins, stroll through the narrow streets and discover the 14th-century walled city gate, the churches of Saint-Pierre and Notre-Dame-sur-l'Eau, numerous characterful buildings, the washing and ironing museum, and the charming old motte overlooking the Douzenan gorges.
From here, you'll be spoiled for choice: walks in the surrounding countryside, hikes in the Saint-Pourçain vineyards, sightseeing excursions following in the footsteps of the Bourbons between Bourbon-l'Archambault, Souvigny, and Moulins, exploring Vichy, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and Montluçon, a city of art and history.
In a peaceful and idyllic setting, you can relax and enjoy your meals (in season) in front of the gîte, in a private, enclosed, flower-filled courtyard. On the ground floor, you'll find a living room opening onto a fully equipped kitchen and dining area, as well as a shower room with toilet. A spiral staircase leads to the mezzanine, which has been converted into a bedroom for two people with a desk area (baby equipment available).
The cottage, fully renovated in 2023, is adjacent to an uninhabited building whose semi-basement is available for your use, ideal for parking your motorcycles, bicycles, or storing your fishing equipment.
The cottage is non-smoking.
End-of-stay cleaning, towels, and electric heating and charging station usage are charged extra if the package is exceeded.
