This bungalow sits in Bonner, a historic Montana milltown built around the timber industry, at the confluence of the Blackfoot and Clark Fork Rivers. For over a century, Bonner's mill powered the region — today, that same industrial character gives the town its authentic, working-class charm, with the old Bonner Mill complex now home to local businesses like Posh Chocolat, an award-winning bean-to-bar chocolatier just steps away.

Right next door is Milltown State Park, a 635-acre riverfront park built on the site of a major dam-removal and river restoration project, with hiking and biking trails, fishing access, and panoramic views where the Blackfoot meets the Clark Fork. The Blackfoot River corridor itself — made famous by A River Runs Through It — is one of Montana's premier fly-fishing and floating destinations, and it's outside your door. Beyond the Blackfoot, western Montana's other legendary fishery, Rock Creek, is a short drive away — Rock Creek Mercantile, a well-known fly shop near the creek's mouth, sits about 20 miles out — designated a Blue Ribbon trout stream and known for its salmonfly hatch and healthy populations of browns, rainbows, and cutthroat. Between the two, this bungalow puts you within easy reach of two of the state's most celebrated trout waters.

Kettlehouse Amphitheatre, directly across Highway 200, brings a full summer concert season to this otherwise quiet stretch of the highway — expect a lively, music-filled atmosphere on show nights and a peaceful small-town feel the rest of the time.

Just 7 miles (about 10 minutes) west, downtown Missoula offers a lively food and brewery scene, live theater, and the University of Montana campus — plus Missoula International Airport for easy arrivals. Beyond the city, western Montana's biggest draws are all within reach: Glacier National Park is roughly 140 miles (2.5–3 hours) north, and the Bitterroot Valley, Rattlesnake Wilderness, and countless trailheads are a short drive away.

This is a neighborhood defined by its rivers and its history — a real Montana milltown, not a manufactured tourist strip, and an ideal launch point for exploring everything the region has to offer.

BEDROOM: A cozy bedroom with a queen bed that fills most of the room and is dressed in clean cotton linens and pillows for propping. Light-blocking curtains keep it dark and promote sleeping in after a late show or catching early hours before a day on the river.

BATHROOM: An efficient bathroom built around a classic clawfoot soaking tub — compact and blessed with vintage charm that makes up for the smaller footprint.

LIVING & DINING: Flowing together and featuring abundant natural light throughout, an original archway divides the living and dining spaces — a nice architectural detail from the home's milltown-era construction. The living room sofa offers plush, comfortable seating for 4, while the dining area (with modern cabinetry) is set for two — this home is built for a couple, not a crowd.

KITCHEN: Original cabinetry preserves the home's vintage character, paired with a kitchen that's genuinely ready to cook in — everything you need to prep, cook, and serve a full meal: stove, oven, fridge, coffee maker, and the essential pots, pans, and dishes. Great for hunters and anglers packing a shore lunch or a meal after a day tracking elk. Our philosophy: everything you need, nothing you don't — well-appointed but uncluttered.

OUTDOOR SPACE: A large fenced backyard and small deck offer a place to unwind, rinse off gear, or watch the Montana sky. Note: the yard is enclosed by a chain-link fence shared with a close neighbor, so it offers more space than seclusion.

PARKING: Truly ample parking — no problem pulling a trailer with whatever gear you're bringing. Room for a truck and drift boat or raft (a real plus for anglers running the Blackfoot), plus plenty of space for bikes, kayaks, snowmobiles, or smaller campers. Also well-suited for hunters with full-size trucks; there's space to park and gear up with ease. Note: space comfortably fits smaller campers and travel trailers, but not large fifth-wheels (35ft+) — please reach out before booking if you're bringing a bigger rig.

COMFORT & CONVENIENCE: We pay close attention to what matters most to paying guests. Enjoy strong Wi-Fi, A/C for those warm Montana summer days, and a fully stocked kitchen ready for action. There's room to roll out a yoga mat for a morning stretch before a day on the river or trail. The home is professionally cleaned between every stay, with linens sent out for professional hygienic laundering — so you can relax knowing the details are handled.

A NOTE ON NOISE: This home sits directly on Highway 200 — speed is controlled right in front of the house, but traffic is real and constant, especially on concert-night routing. Show nights are kinetic and vibrant, with energy and noise building until the show wraps around 10-11 pm and traffic clears out after midnight. We provide fans and earplugs, but this is not a remote or silent-night stay — it's an immersive, front-row basecamp for the show itself. Light sleepers or those seeking total quiet should consider a stay further from the venue.

A car is the most convenient way to explore the region, but you've got good options for getting around without one, too!

Uber and Lyft both operate in the Missoula area and are a reliable way to get to and from downtown or the airport.

For cyclists, the Kim Williams/Milwaukee Trail is a scenic option — it follows the Clark Fork River, connecting Milltown State Park all the way into downtown Missoula and the University of Montana campus (paved near town, transitioning to gravel further out).

Mountain Line, Missoula's public bus system, also runs Route 4 out to Bonner, with a stop right on Highway 200 at the Bonner Post Office — which is right next door to this house and is entirely free!

Please check Mountain Line's website for the current schedule, as service to Bonner runs on an hourly basis.

3rd Party Bookings: All personal travel bookings need to be made by the guests staying, with everyone added to the reservation at the time of booking; we're not able to accommodate third-party bookings. And as covered above, expect the sounds of highway traffic and concert activity, along with the occasional friendly wave from a neighbor or passerby coming and going — it's all part of the charm of a close-knit milltown block.
