Casa Tintorera has five suites, each with its own king bed and private bathroom, arranged around a house that never tries to feel bigger than it is. The art collection runs through the common areas — a considered, contemporary selection that gives the house its own identity, the kind of thing that turns a hallway into somewhere worth a second look.

The rooftop is where the house opens up — a terrace built for evenings that start with a sunset and don't have anywhere else to be, whether that means a full group at the table or a couple of people talking until it's late. The pool sits at the center of the day, and daily housekeeping means the house resets itself so nobody has to think about it.

The name borrows from the blue shark — sleek, fast, always moving without hurry — and, for those who know their Mexican film history, from a very different kind of story shot on beaches not unlike this one. Neither reference is explained on arrival. Guests tend to figure it out.



Guest Access:

Entry is self-managed through a smart lock, so arrival isn't tied to anyone's schedule. Renting the full house includes all five suites, the pool, the rooftop terrace, and beach access through the nearby beach clubs. (These beach clubs are completely independent from the property)



The Neighborhood:

La Barra sits at a quieter edge of Puerto Escondido, close enough to the sand that flip-flops are really the only shoes anyone needs. Casona Sforza is a short walk away, and the beach itself is under 200 meters out the door — closer than most places in town can honestly claim.



Getting Around:

The beach is a one-minute drive, or an easy walk for anyone not in a rush. Free enclosed parking is available on site. Puerto Escondido's restaurants, bars, and main beaches are a short scooter ride away.



Other Things to Note:

Casa Tintorera can accommodate families without children. Our place is designed for adults only. Check-in runs from 3:00PM, with checkout before 11:00 AM.



For security purposes, all guests must complete a mandatory digital check-in prior to arrival. This includes submitting a valid ID, completing a registration form, and providing a credit/debit card for a security deposit. This secure process is required to validate your reservation and receive check-in instructions. Failure to complete it may result in denied access without refund.



Interaction with Guests:

The team at Álaya Hospitalidad run the house with a light hand — quick to answer, easy to reach, but never in the way. Housekeeping comes through daily, and messages are typically answered within minutes.
