The spacious entrance hall is central to the barn, with its boot rack, coat hooks and stone tiled floor, it is ideal for storing your walking gear after a trip into the bluebell woods. The open-plan living area is dominated by the huge floor to ceiling windows and doors leading you out onto the stunning private terrace. Two sumptuous armchairs and the sofa allow you to cosy up and watch television, and the well-equipped modern kitchen and dining area provide all you need to create and enjoy wonderful family meals at the solid wood dining table. There are two well-appointed bedrooms; the first bedroom with a 5' king size bed, and the family bathroom next door with a bath and separate walk-in shower. Bedroom two leading from the living area boasts a 6' super-king size bed and a Smart television.
Outside, the show-stopping rear terrace is decked, and boasts an outdoor dining table, garden furniture and a charcoal barbecue, ideal for alfresco dining, or just to sit back and relax whilst listening to the birdsong.
Wine connoisseurs will delight in a visit to the Chapel Down Vineyard, where guided tours and tastings can be booked, less than 15 minutes from Fernwood. Or head to the beach at Camber Sands, only half an hour away. The nearest town is Tenterden, often referred to as 'The Jewel of the Weald' with its tree-lined greens, artisan independent shops and pretty architecture. Tenterden is also home to the Kent and East Sussex Steam Railway.
Additional Information:
The internal accommodation is all on one level. There are a couple of small steps into the property which the owner can provide a wheelchair ramp for. Please request this during the booking process if required.
Two well-behaved dogs welcome (small additional charge).
Children and infants welcome. Travel cot and highchair available on request (please provide your own cot linen).
Guests have use of the five acre private woodland and two acre paddock.
Please note, care needs to be taken when adventuring out to the woods. If you are leaving the footpath, there may be fox and rabbit holes, and other various trip hazards.
There is a pond within the paddock that is not covered. Please supervise children at all times.
Please be mindful of toxic plants within the wooded area. Please supervise children and dogs at all times.
The bedding is feather and non-feather (bamboo).
