Pelican 308 is a fully renovated 1 bedroom plus bunk room condo on the third floor of the bayside Pelican building at Destin West Beach & Bay Resort on Okaloosa Island. It sleeps 6 with two full bathrooms, and the covered balcony looks straight down the resort's 700 foot lazy river with the bayside pool deck and palms beyond it. The Gulf beach is a short walk across the skybridge, and Destin is about 10 minutes east.
Families tend to book this one for the layout. The master has a king bed, its own TV, and a private slider out to a second small balcony, so parents get a quiet space of their own. The bunk alcove has twin-over-twin bunks and each bunk has its own TV, which solves the nightly argument over the living room remote. A queen sleeper sofa covers guests five and six. Two full baths, one with a tub and handheld shower and one with a walk-in shower, keep the morning routine moving.
The kitchen was redone with quartz counters, white shaker cabinets, gold hardware, a hex tile backsplash, and stainless Maytag appliances including a French door fridge. Four barstools at the breakfast bar handle meals, and there is a Keurig plus a regular drip coffee maker. Wood-look plank floors run through the whole condo, every room has a ceiling fan, and there is a stacked washer and dryer inside the unit. We keep a beach wagon with two chairs and an umbrella in the condo so you can head to the sand without renting or hauling gear.
