About this apartment rental
A spacious second- and third-floor unit in a character-filled older home in Tacoma's Hilltop/Central neighborhood. It features a third-floor attic conversion, a main bedroom with ensuite bathroom, and a welcoming landing area, with air conditioning throughout for the summer. Walking distance to the bars, restaurants and nightlife on 6th Ave, a short drive to Ruston and Downtown Tacoma, and a practical base for Seattle, Mt. Rainier, Portland, JBLM and the Tacoma Dome. This is a three-story home and you will have the second and third floors. The main bedroom has a queen bed plus a sofa suitable for guests 5'10" and under. The third floor is an attic conversion reached by steeper, narrower stairs - please see the photos. Both bathrooms have sliding barn doors with no locks. The bedrooms are set back from the street for quieter sleep, and there is a washer and dryer on the second floor. Kitchenette with dining table, coffee maker, microwave and mini fridge - light cooking only, with one pot, one pan and utensils. A plug-in hot plate is available but not suited to heavy cooking, so if you plan to cook full meals please look for a listing with a full kitchen and stove. You must be comfortable with stairs, both to the second floor and the steep attic stairs, so plan accordingly if you are traveling with a lot of luggage. Your entrance is at the front of the building off Sprague - the light beige building. There is a blue house on the lot; that is not your unit. Free street parking is available plus one standard-size vehicle spot at the back via the 10th Ave alley, one vehicle only. A car is recommended and the nearest bus stop is about 0.3 miles away. Please note: the home is on a main street so some traffic noise is possible, and there may be noise from the first-floor unit. It is close to Tacoma General, Allenmore and other hospitals, which suits travel nurses. This home is in Tacoma, not Seattle - about 40 minutes to Seattle without traffic and an hour or more with it. Exterior security cameras are present on the property. Pets are welcome; please register them in advance.
