In the heart of the mountains of the Aspe valley, Béarn Pyrenees, an old farmhouse renovated in a preserved natural setting. A former farmhouse on the heights of the village of Lourdios, in the heart of the Aspe Valley. The Condou house, whose origins date back to the 18th century, has been divided into two separate living spaces: one part is occupied by Jean-François and his family, and the other is your adjoining gîte (southeast-facing). On the ground floor of the gîte: - Fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, induction hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge-freezer) - Living/dining area (wood-burning stove, TV, Wi-Fi). Opening onto the outside (garden furniture), lovely mountain views. - Toilet and washing machine. Climb the spiral staircase (iron and wood). First floor: 2 bedrooms (1 double bed 160x200cm, 2 single beds 90x200cm that can be joined). Beds made up for your arrival. Cot available on request. Bathroom (bathtub with shower, sink). Separate WC. A tumble dryer is available in a shared area with the owner in an outbuilding. The ground floor is heated only by a wood-burning stove (wood provided on-site at an extra cost based on consumption). Upstairs, there are recently installed electric convectors: ELECTRICITY INCLUDED. One bedroom has a ceiling fan. Barbecue. Private parking on-site. Private terrace, unfenced grounds (cows and donkeys graze nearby). Numerous hiking trails are accessible from this location, including marked loops around the village. 600 meters away, in the village, is the Valley Ecomuseum, where you can discover the pastoral traditions of this region. All amenities are available in Arette (9 km). Oloron-Sainte-Marie (train station, cathedral) is 22 km away. Somport Pass (cross-country skiing, Spain) is 45 km away.
