About this cottage rental
Perfect for keen walkers and nature lovers, Chamberlain Cottage, Hartsop is an attractive, 17th century, Grade 11 listed traditional Lakeland cottage which enjoys breathtaking fell views and direct access to some of the finest walking routes in the Ullswater Valley. Step outside the front door and discover scenic trails leading onto the surrounding fells, with everything from gentle lakeside strolls to challenging Wainwright climbs within easy reach. After a day exploring the spectacular landscapes of the Lake District National Park, return to the comfort of this characterful cottage, where you can relax, unwind, and soak up the ever-changing mountain scenery from the comfort of your holiday home. The village of Patterdale is just under 2.5 miles walk away, and nearby Brothers Water provides a scenic back drop, reward yourself with refreshments at the White Lion or Patterdale Hotel.
Access the cottage into the characterful dining lounge with beams over head, panelled walls and views from the windows across the garden to the fells. Comfy seating surrounds the TV (please note there is no terrestrial TV and guests should use their phones to hotspot apps such as Netflix, Prime etc). Enjoy meals together at the dining table or linger with your morning coffee as you plan your days adventure. The kitchen is equipped with everything needed to prepare meals with electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave. There is a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer and plenty of space to store outdoor walking gear.
Upstairs 2 bedrooms promise a restful nights sleep, the master bedroom has a king size bed and view to Hartsop Dodd. The second bedroom has 3 single beds. The family bathroom has a bath and hand basin. (N.B. No shower.)
All electric, bed linen and towels provided. Cot and highchair available. Please note there is parking for 1 car but it is up a steep incline. There is parking available in the car park opposite the cottage if you choose not to park at the cottage. Mature garden with garden furniture. Please note this cottage does not have WiFi or terrestrial TV and may not be suitable for those with mobility problems.
