About this apartment rental

La Casita Lecce is a cozy and well-maintained home in the heart of Lecce’s historic center, ideally located for exploring the city, its architecture, cuisine, and the authentic atmosphere of the Salento region.

Located on Via Idomeneo, just a few minutes’ walk from Porta Napoli, La Casita is perfect for couples, families, or friends who want to stay in the center of Lecce and have the main attractions, restaurants, cafes, and bars within easy walking distance.

The apartment combines the charm of a typical home in the historic center with the comfort of a modern home. The atmosphere is warm, relaxing, and welcoming, with a Mediterranean style inspired by the colors and materials typical of the Salento region.

Thanks to its location, you can easily leave your car behind and explore Lecce on foot. From La Casita, you can easily reach some of the city’s most famous landmarks, including the Basilica of Santa Croce, Piazza Sant’Oronzo, the Roman Amphitheater, Piazza del Duomo, and the many narrow streets and squares of the historic center.

La Casita is located in a quiet area of the historic center, yet close to everything you might need during your stay. You can start your day with a coffee at one of the local cafes, visit the Baroque monuments, stop for lunch at a traditional trattoria, and end the day with an aperitif or dinner—all without having to drive.

The apartment has been designed to offer everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay.

You’ll find a comfortable bedroom, a cozy living area, a fully equipped kitchen, and a private bathroom. The apartment also features Wi-Fi, air conditioning, heating, bed linens, and towels.

The kitchen is equipped for those who prefer to prepare their own meals at home, while nearby you’ll find numerous restaurants, cafes, bakeries, and shops where you can buy local products and Salento specialties.

One of the best things about La Casita is its location. The historic center of Lecce isn’t just a place to visit—it’s a place to experience. The buildings made of Lecce stone, the Baroque churches, the narrow streets, and the squares create a unique atmosphere throughout the day.

Porta Napoli is just a few minutes’ walk away and serves as a convenient landmark for reaching the historic center. From there, you can easily reach Via Giuseppe Palmieri, continue toward Via Idomeneo, and arrive at La Casita.

The apartment is also an excellent starting point for exploring the Salento region. Lecce is strategically located for driving to both the Adriatic and Ionian coasts, with beautiful beach towns and small villages within easy reach.

You can visit Otranto, Gallipoli, Santa Maria di Leuca, Porto Cesareo, and many other towns along the Salento coast. The inland area is also worth a visit, with olive groves, farmsteads, small villages, and landscapes typical of Puglia.

Whether you’re visiting Lecce for a romantic weekend, a cultural getaway, a family trip, or a longer stay to explore Puglia, La Casita is a convenient base for experiencing the city and the Salento region.

GETTING THERE BY CAR

We recommend paying attention to the restricted traffic zone (ZTL) regulations in Lecce’s historic center. It’s best to park your car outside the restricted zones and walk to the apartment.

Porta Napoli is a convenient landmark for finding parking and then walking to La Casita.

From Porta Napoli, go through the arch, turn right onto Via Giuseppe Palmieri, and then left onto Via Idomeneo. Continue along Via Idomeneo until you reach number 31C.

La Casita is the last apartment on the right, just before Via Conte Giuffrido.

Outside the building, you’ll find a sign that says “La Casita Lecce.”

CHECK-IN

La Casita offers a convenient self-check-in system, which allows you to arrive on your own without necessarily having to arrange a specific meeting time.

Before your arrival, you’ll receive all the information you need to access the building and the apartment.

The system is designed to make your arrival simple and flexible, even for guests arriving late in the evening or at different times.

During your stay, we’re always available remotely for any needs or questions.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD

One of the advantages of staying in the historic center is being immersed in the life of the city.

In the morning, you can walk to a traditional café for an Italian breakfast. During the day, you can explore the churches and palaces built with the distinctive Lecce stone. In the evening, the historic center comes alive with restaurants, wine bars, clubs, and cafés.

Lecce is famous above all for its Baroque architecture and the distinctive golden color of the local stone. Strolling through the historic center is one of the best ways to get to know the city.

FOOD AND WINE

The Salento region is famous for its cuisine and wines, and Lecce offers plenty of opportunities to sample the local cuisine.

During your stay, it’s worth trying some specialties such as the pasticciotto, the rustico leccese, the puccia, the orecchiette, and other traditional dishes of Apulian cuisine.

The area is also famous for its wines, including Negroamaro and Primitivo.

FROM THE CENTER OF LECCE TO THE SEA

Lecce is an excellent base for exploring the Salento region.

The Adriatic coast is easily accessible by car, with towns such as Torre dell’Orso, Otranto, and Santa Cesarea Terme, famous for their beaches and coastal scenery.

The Ionian coast, with Porto Cesareo and Gallipoli, is also easily accessible.

For a longer day trip, you can travel as far as Santa Maria di Leuca, at the southern tip of Puglia, where the Adriatic Sea and the Ionian Sea meet.

LA CASITA

La Casita was created with the idea of offering guests a place to slow down, experience Lecce, and discover the authentic atmosphere of Salento.

It’s not meant to be just a place to sleep, but a comfortable home from which to set out each day to explore the city and the surrounding area.

The combination of its central location in the historic center, the apartment’s amenities, and the ability to reach Lecce on foot makes La Casita an ideal base for both exploring the city and the rest of Puglia.

Whether you choose to spend your days visiting historic monuments, sampling the local cuisine, relaxing on the beaches of Salento, or simply strolling through the beautiful streets of Lecce, La Casita lets you experience the city at your own pace.
