This charming property on the grounds of a 17th-century farmhouse is ideal for couples or solo travellers seeking a peaceful countryside hideaway with easy access to local amenities and attractions in the Cotswolds National Landscape. Enjoy a wonderful mix of scenic natural beauty and rich heritage right on your doorstep. Lace up your boots, and right from the property, you can hike up the historic Little Solsbury Hill – an Iron Age hill fort offering marvellous panoramic views over Bath. Walkers and cyclists can explore the Kennet and Avon Canal Towpath or cross the historic Batheaston Toll Bridge, while the village high street offers a cosy stop at the organic cafe. Further afield, the world-famous Roman baths and Georgian architectural treasures of the City of Bath await discovery (3 miles). Alternatively, explore iconic Cotswold destinations like the picturesque village of Castle Combe (10 miles), reached via the Fosse Way.
Walking up the steps from the car park, you’ll immediately be struck by the stillness and exceptionally pretty views that surround your delightful wooden retreat. There are steps leading up to a characterful stable door. Once inside, you will appreciate the exceptional decor with gorgeous wooden surfaces, lovely stained-glass windows, and many thoughtful touches that ensure an unforgettable stay. Rustic charm meets contemporary comfort, with decor that reflects the countryside, so you can slow down and reconnect with nature in a perfect setting for rest and relaxation. Immediately in front of you on entering is the compact kitchenette with all the appliances you need to prepare simple meals. To the left of the kitchen area is the stylish shower and WC. Just inside the door, to your left, is the wood burner, ensuring a warm and cosy ambience even in the chillier months. To the right as you enter is a double bed where you can drift off to sleep and wake up to charming countryside views.
Step outside and relax on the patio seating, take in the views, and listen to the sounds of nature. On fine evenings, fire up the pizza oven and enjoy dining alfresco under the stars. There is ample private parking.
