About this house rental
Reethaus Strandgut is located at the very northern tip of Rügen, where the Baltic Sea and the Bodden bay enclose the Wittow Peninsula. Built in 2016, this detached house combines the island’s traditional thatched-roof architecture with the comforts of a modern vacation home. With 120 m² of living space, it can accommodate up to 7 guests—ideal for families and friends seeking nature, open spaces, and tranquility.
Living
The open living area is the heart of the house. You can spend long evenings by the fireplace while outside the wind rustles through the thatch—firewood is provided. The fully equipped built-in kitchen leaves nothing to be desired and invites you to cook together, whether with fish bought at the harbor or with produce from the island’s farm stands.
Sleeping
Three bedrooms with double beds (and a crib) and two bathrooms offer every guest their own private retreat. High-quality mattresses and fresh air under the thatched roof ensure restful nights.
Wellness
Your private in-house sauna is all yours—there’s hardly anything better after a walk on the beach on a clear fall day or a windy winter morning. Afterward, relax by the fireplace or in the garden.
Outdoors
In the summer, the garden surrounding the house is the perfect spot for breakfast and barbecues under the open sky.
The Surroundings
Dranske is one of the most unspoiled places on Rügen. It’s a 4-minute walk to the Baltic Sea beach. Cape Arkona with its lighthouses, the cliffs, the fishing village of Vitt, and the Wittow ferry are all just a short drive away. Bicycle paths, nature reserves, and the expansive Bodden landscapes make every season an adventure—even for water sports enthusiasts who enjoy the waters around
