Sachse Vacation Rental in Neuendorf on Hiddensee
Welcome to the Sachse Vacation Rental in charmingvillage of Neuendorf, the southernmost village on the island of Hiddensee!

Our vacation rental offers a cozy vacation home for 2 to 4 people as well as a lovingly furnished guest room for up to 3 people. Both accommodations are ideal for guests who want to enjoy peace and quiet, relaxation, nature, and the special atmosphere of this car-free island.

Neuendorf – a traditional island village
Neuendorf is a small, idyllic fishing village with about 300 residents. The unique layout of the houses, arranged in several rows on an open meadow without paved paths, is one-of-a-kind, and the entire village is designated as a historic site. Together with neighboring Plogshagen, Neuendorf forms one of the most unspoiled and tranquil areas of Hiddensee.

The village is located on the Bodden side of the island, on the Schaproder Bodden. The harbor of Neuendorf is regularly served by boats from Schaprode on Rügen and from Stralsund. Within the island, buses run between the different districts; however, the most important means of transportation for locals and visitors alike is the bicycle. Private car traffic is not permitted on Hiddensee.

Places of interest in the area
Neuendorf is home to the small fishing museum “Lütt Partie,” which offers insights into maritime history and the former lives of fishermen. In the former “Groot Partie,” a cozy museum café now invites visitors to linger with homemade cakes, delicious meals, and a popular fish soup.

South of Neuendorf lies the undeveloped Gellen Peninsula. There stands the historic Gellen Lighthouse, which has guided maritime traffic around the island of Hiddensee for many years.

Enjoy a relaxing stay in Neuendorf and discover Hiddensee’s unique natural beauty, traditional island architecture, and maritime atmosphere.
