Alagna Mountain Resort & SPA

Excellent location, quiet and very private.

The hotel is wonderful. Great facilities, clean, and with marvelous views. It is perfectly located in Alagna and has enough parking spots (which are really hard to come by). The housekeeping team is exceptional and really goes above and beyond.

This's the second time we've stayed here. We noticed a decrease in breakfast quality, both in the food and in the service. In my view, it doesn't meet the standards of a 4-star establishment. However, this may be because much of the staff seemed to be in their first job (and we noticed that much of the staff was not happy to be there, so there might have been problems). In any case, it was good enough for an Italian breakfast, but less so for a continental/ savoury breakfast. Little to no local food. The Wi-Fi is really poor, which I suspect isn't 100% the hotel's fault, as Italy has terrible coverage in the mountains. The SPA is really nice, but this year it was less clean than usual. Also, not a problem per se, but it's good to know that apart from the Sauna and Turkish bath, the pool experience isn't exactly relaxing; it is more like a public pool with kids and youth playing and having fun (which is nice to see, but not a spa experience) and guests occupying sunbeds all day with towels.

The hotel is pretty new in a super central location. Rooms are spacious with everything you might need for a short stay.

We were out of the room from 9 AM to 4 PM and had clearly left the sign on the door requesting the room to be cleaned. Despite this, the room was still not cleaned by 4 PM, which is unacceptable for a 4-star hotel. No one informed us of any delay, and we had to go to reception to ask for assistance. When housekeeping eventually came around 6 PM, they only made the main bed — the child’s bed was left untouched. They didn’t replace the glasses, didn’t tidy the bathroom or the sofa, and the floors were not cleaned at all. At check-out, the hotel manager was extremely rude. He didn’t listen to our complaint at all and simply insisted that it was normal for a room not to be cleaned by 4 PM. His attitude and lack of professionalism left us with a very negative impression of the property and the service overall.
