Very good

Location good and staff were very accommodating. We arrived two days late due to flight problems and my message did not reach the hotel so we were charged one night (fair) but remainder cancelled. However the manager worked to get us the same rate for the remaining days, Maintenance was also quite helpful as I'd asked if I could plug in my car.

No breakfast-inclusive options to left with Dennys onsite -which can be a bit pricey - or McDs/A&W etc nearby, But kettle/ microwave in rooms and decent free morning coffee in lobby,

2 days in Calgary and the only good parts of this hotel are the lobby and Kevin the check in guy

The location was good and the pool ok. The lobby was clean and ok and Kevin our staff at check in was great. The rest was pretty disappointing other than the free lobby coffee actually tasted good.

The rooms seemed very tired and dated with some peeling wallpaper aged look. Specifically the electrical outlets were non sufficient and used up. The room supplied fridge, TV and microwave shared a single duplex outlet so we had to keep unplugging the TV or fridge in order to use the microwave. There was insufficient plugs next to the beds as well. Supplying some power strips or something to split more plugs would be an easy and inexpensive fix. The electrical outlet at the bathroom sink was so old and overused that it couldn't hold plugs in. I had to use a shampoo bottle to prop the cord so it didn't fall out. The hot tub jets did not work at all when turning the timer and the tub itself was far from hot. The temperature on the wall listed it as around 104 but was likely in the 90's only. We used the pay laundry dryer and had to run a very small load twice for a total of 2 hours and $6 cost and still clothes came out damp. I complained about all of these issues and received a $6 refund for the dryer but was not met with a genuine apology or did the front desk person seem surprised by my issues. A first time Sandman customer but a very frequent traveler using similar level branded hotels in the mid level category (Holiday Inn Express mostly which are pretty consistent across North America and includes a free breakfast) and the average $200 per night was absolutely not in any way a value on this stay. I would never stay here again and It's unlikely I would stay at another Sandman if this is consistent with the brand.

comfy and good value

comfortable and easy to check in and relax. There’s no microwave in the room but the staff member was nice and let me use theirs.

the hallway into the room was very long and narrow. Wish there was more green space outside for the dog.

Horrible

The pictures must be old.

As soon as we got into the room I immediately was grossed out by the smell. Smelt like mold. The room was alot older than i thought, old furniture, uneven flooring. I did not want my children there so within 5 mins of my stay, I rented a different hotel and left.

Quite sleep near the highway to the West Coast.

Excellent location as we were heading back to the West Coast and it is just off Hwy 1. Not noisy at all. For a family of 5, to actually have three beds and not a sofa bed was great. Morning desk staff were amazing!

Pool was quite cold and the hot tub was extremely hot. Maintenance guy said he had to fix it.

convenient location

The mattress needs to be changed all sunken in no body lotion in toiletries.. sink had a weird angle as soon as you turn on water on high pressure it literally splashes water on you … with this price I was expecting breakfast but no breakfast

The hotel was really awesome!

The location was good, the pool was really relaxing, and it was a great stay.

The beds were a little on the small side but they were really comfy.
