This is a fantastic hotel in a lovely old building. Our room was comfortable and clean, staff acceptable (some great, some ok) and the food wonderful. Alberto at the Black Sheep restaurant/bar was fantastic and the foods available for dinner great. We particularly liked the piri-piri crab roll with a sea of lightly spiced fine cut fries. The breakfasts are so good we stopped eating lunches. My go to breakfast was a burrito I put together with the scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, cheese and salsa. The pancakes, spiced potato’s, waffles, breads, pastries, grapes, mixed fruits, strawberry smoothies were all fantastic…but there were other choices as well. There were a number of good restaurants in the area, including a seafood restaurant next door, a fantanstic pizza place within 10 minutes. Well recommended.
Work-space was limited in the room, but the availability of the lobby/bar/restaurant space on the first floor generally made up for this. There isn't anything to complain about.
