VERY disappointed!

I booked and PAID for two 2 rooms. I arrived at 9:15pm and was told they were “overbooked” and they only had one room available. The staff offered no solution to the problem and only told me I could have one room or cancel both at 9:15PM. In addition the tub filled up with ankle deep water while showering. The pool area was an absolute mess.

Worst stay I have ever had

NOTHING

Upon arrival. Had to wait for a room untill 11:00 pm. No rooms available. So many people waiting for over 2 hours. Insanity to me. Check in is at 4:00. Not 11:00 pm. No manager was talking to anyone. The poor guy at the desk was doing his best. Rooms were still dirty, hair on floor, no hair dryer or wash cloths . No hand soap. Worst experience ever!!!

Great hotel

The front desk was very polite and friendly.. I wanted a room next to my family that was staying there however, the rooms weren't ready, the kept me on a list. At 6:00 the rooms weren't turned over by housekeeping so I took what was available. The room was clean, beds wete very comfortable.

The rooms weren't ready. The long lines at check in and the restaurant wasn't open, just room service only.

The beds were extremely comfortable. The rooms were nicely cleaned and worth the value paid

Not enough towels for the room requested. Also, the curtain inside the room. There was a privacy curtain, and then a small black out curtain that we were unable to close. The lights from the parking area shown thru all night.

What could go wrong did go wrong and management on the night merely exacerbated that.

Breakfast superb. Hot. Varied. Lots of fruit. Exceptional. The manager on checkout for his listening ear and unsolicited resolution of my issues.

No towels in pool area. No thick curtains on window in room. Pool dirty. Jacuzzi dirty. No changing area plus no towels leaves people walking out of pool area wet on a tiled floor. Accident waiting to happen.

Doubletree By Hilton is a great place to stay

This hotel is perfect for me. I was able to extend my stay due to a snowstorm. The staff is friendly. The restaurant is excellent. The breakfast has lots of options. The best part is the swimming, pool and spa.

Excellent value.

Very nice room with comfortable mattress and pillows. Bathroom was well equipped with soft towels and quality soap and hair care products. The room was also quiet. Descent restaurant and a great bar! And let’s not forget the warm chocolate chip cookies!

Buffet breakfast was a bit pricey but there was a good selection including fresh scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, cereal, and yogurt. Fresh fruit also.

The breakfast was great. On Saturday they were making eggs to order. I also love the pool and the hot tub which is very relaxing.

Not a bad choice

Very nice bed. The breakfast was really good as well. The pool was a nice temperature too.

The room was a little outdated but not too terrible. The bathroom really needed to be looked at. The shower curtain was too small and water got everywhere. There was no hook for the towels so the only option was to drape it over the shower rod. We asked a couple times for extra towels and got nothing.

Payed too much for such poor quality, even with the discount.

Staff was friendly

We were never notified the pool hadnt been working for days prior to our stay. We would have cancelled or relocated. Carpets were dirty. Dirty sheets etc. piled up in our hallway overnight. Walls cracked. No fan in bathroom. Breakfast was awful.

Passable

The staff was great. The interior, overall, could use a refresh. Our room was relatively clean, but not to the standards I expect from Doubletree. There was a bug in one of the drawers, the shower had a ball of hair still in it, and the shower spout leaked which caused water to run all over the bathroom floor.

Very good

The location was very close for our reason of being there. The kids had a great time in the pool.

People above us were really loud at night. The bathroom could use some up keep but it was fine for the value of the trip.

It was nice friendly staff and they took care of my concerns immediately.

The breakfast was wonderful, delicious. The location was not next to any activities. When I went the wrong way, I tried to turn around in a lot where there were several pot holes, not at the Hilton but adjacent locations. That area is not doing well anymore.

That was a wonderful breakfast however there was an issue with billing. The first two days the server asked us for our names and room numbers and that was it. However the third day they changed their policy and gave me a bill for breakfast and I went to the front desk inquiring and the front desk told the server not to bill the guest because breakfast was included. The fourth day, the server only asked me for my name and room number again. But it was strange the third day because I thought I was being billed. However the front desk did a wonderful job take care of the breakfast billing and it was great customer service. The hot tub was not in order.

Felt uneasy, unsafe and didn’t sleep at all

I’m really disappointed with my stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Columbus/Worthington. My partner and I arrived really early in the morning (2am) and were only there to sleep a few hours before heading back on the road for 7:30am. Upon checking in, there were no staff at the front. Once we got the attention of a member they checked us in and gave us our keys to room 111. As we approached our room and opened the door we noticed that the lights and tv were on, a man’s shoes and luggage were at the bottom of the bed with him sleeping. This was really scary as due to the nature of this situation it would be uncertain as to how someone could have reacted. We were given a new room, and the staff member had mentioned that this wasn’t the first time a particular employee had made this mistake. With that being said, we felt really uneasy about this experience as it is a safety liability.

Great customer service, but is athletically pleasing.

Customer service was incredible and friendly.

The hotel was not pleasing as far as appearance. It had a 1980s motel appeal in the room and bathroom. It was a decent hotel to stay in, but did not expect the overall appearance in person.
