Ce n’est pas un hôtel, plutôt un motel ! Pas de wifi et comme pas de réseau, aucun moyen de communication, a part si vous allez dans le pub.

The Crossing liegt zentral am Icefield Parkway, es handelt sich quasi um eine ausgebaute Raststätte mit angeschlossenem Motel und Pub. Ein klarer Vorteil. Der Ausblick mag sehr imposant sein, wir konnten ihn leider nicht genießen, da es an diesem Tag durchgehend regnete und alles wolkenverhangen war.
Check-in-Time ist 16:00 Uhr. Wir waren jedoch bereits um 14:00 Uhr vor Ort, durften aber noch nicht aufs Zimmer, mit der Begründung, dass dieses noch nicht gereinigt wurden. Es handelt sich bei "The Crossing" quasi um ein Motel, man parkt also vor seinem Zimmer - dort also warteten wir, aber nichts geschah. Bei einem Blick durchs Zimmer-Fenster sah alles in Ordnung aus, es kam bis 16 Uhr auch niemand mehr vorbei. Trotzdem erhielten wir unseren Zimmerschlüssel erst um Punkt 16 Uhr. Eigenartig und ärgerlich, Service geht anders. Man spürt doch sehr, dass "The Crossing" eine Monopolstellung in einer weit von allem entfernten Gegend hat. Und das lassen Sie sich auch bezahlen. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist ziemlich grenzwertig, bei allem Verständnis dafür, in dieser Einsamkeit eine solche Infrastruktur auf die Beine zu stellen und zu betreiben: Wir zahlten für ein nicht ganz taufrisches Zimmer für eine Nacht 299,28 CAD. Donnerwetter. WLAN gibt es übrigens nur im Pub (ab 17 Uhr geöffnet), dort wird man aber alle 15 Minuten wieder aus dem Netzwerk geworfen.

PUB(혹은 바?)이 있는 건물 외에는 어디에서도 인터넷이 전혀 안됨. 충격적이었음. 인터넷을 사용하려면 맥주를 마시러 가든지 아니면 그 건물 1층 입구에서 서서 간신히 잡히는 인터넷을 이용해야 함.
모기가 엄청 많고 독한 모기라 물린 곳이 짧지 않은 여행 기간 내내 가라 앉지 않고 엄청 가려워서 약을 사서 바르고 먹어야 했음.
객실도 내부가 나무로 되어 있어 전체적으로 좀 어둡고 무겁고, 공간이 좁아 캐리어를 펼칠 수가 없었음. 객실 내에 러기지 랙 같은 것도 아예 없음.
카페테리아와 기프트샵, 매점이 함께 있는 곳은 외부음식 반입 금지이고 아이스필드파크웨이의 유일한 휴게소로 그 주변에 아무것도 없이 딱 이 호텔 하나뿐이라 어디 다른 식당을 갈 수 있는 선택지도 없음. 객실 내에 주전자고 전자렌지고 뭐 아무것도 없어서 갖고 간 컵라면을 먹으려 해도 뜨거운 물을 얻는 것도 불가능했음. 이렇게 편의시설이 제공되지 않는 호텔 진짜 처음 봤음. (호텔이 아니라 깊은 산속의 유스호스텔이었다면 그나마 이해가 될 것 같았음.)
모든 것이 너무 너무 너무 불편한 호텔로 추천하고 싶지 않습니다.

Great view of beautiful surroundings. Very quiet and peaceful.
The gas is super expensive. No cell signal or wifi in the rooms, but the wifi at the bar was adequate.

Overall, our stay was great. Visitors need to know what to expect in that it's in a remote location and isn't a luxury lodge experience. We knew that coming in, though, so it was what we expected and wanted. The location was our primary reason for our stay as it's a convenient halfway point on the parkway and we travelled in April when campsites etc. were still closed.
The food was expensive but, again, that's understandable considering the remote location. The breakfasts are very large!

The pub doesn't allow any minors in after 4pm, even our 10-month old daughter. That seems silly, given that most other places, including wineries and breweries, were happy to have us with her. Having a time cutoff is fine, but it ought to be 8pm or later. Since we couldn't take her there, and the restaurant wasn't open for dinner yet (early season), the cafeteria was our only option.

The room is comfortable. It stay in the way through Lake Louse and Jasper - so, is convenient for 01 night. The location is beautiful and the staff is pretty nice.
The internet just work at the Pub and this works hours are from 4pm to 11pm. Because of that it’s really dificult stay more than one night

Although dated, rooms were exceptionally clean. Bed was very comfy. Temp control in room was excellent. Very quiet. Hot water in shower was immediate.
A little pricey for meals and snacks, but you need to take the remoteness into consideration. (Shipping)

The server in the bar was the rudest server I’ve ever had, never want to encounter him again as it completely ruined our stay! It really is too bad the place and rest of the staff were wonderful!

Clearly they have the luxury of NO competition at all. Value for money is low, everything is old end smells like its age. It has facilities like a restaurant, but expensive and mainly fast food. utterly expensive.. if you can avoid this, the only reason that you should stay is otherwise you will leave the area too soon or fast, and that is a shame because it is located along one of the most beautiful highways in the world.
