We were welcomed royally and all attempts were made to make us comfortable.
For us, some of the accessibility features did not fit our needs. The stairs were difficult both in terms of entering the house and the room.

The location is excellent, easily walkable to the main street of Port Hope. Breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented. The room was clean, attractive, and very well appointed.
There was nothing I didn’t like. I found the bed pillows a bit large for me, but had I asked, I’m sure I would have been given an alternative. Rose, the host, was very accommodating.

Aesthetically pleasing although lacking in heart. Our host was able to get us the TSN Channel we wanted on the television and breakfast was very good.
Poor first impression. No sign saying Plantation House and we could not reach the owner by phone when trying to clarify directions, even though it was after the opening time. The driveway was blocked halfway up to prevent easy drop off of bags. Owner did not welcome us and refused to give any help with the small bags up the steps and stairs even though my partner is partially blind and her walking is compromised. The B&B is spotlessly clean and appointed with top class amenities but lacking a welcoming atmosphere.
