Motel Blanche d'Haberville

So convenient - close to the TransCanada/Hwy 20 and only a block away from the river and a lovely little marina and maritime park with excellent information boards about the area’s maritime geology, industry, lighthouse and its keepers, etc. (NB - the info is only in French). Also a microbrewery, bistro and pub a block away (closed on Sunday when I was in town). Scrupulously clean. Quiet. Very well organized (I expected to arrive around 8 pm but showed up around 5 and the professional, bilingual and friendly young desk clerk gave me a handwritten envelope with key cards, WiFi password and her adorable drawing of a dog, along with a warm welcome message). Air conditioning and plumbing , fridge and microwave worked well. Very comfortable beds - not too soft. The coffeemaker included decaf coffee, which is all I drink. How did they know? Comfy tiny sitting area for relaxing next to patio door to back balcony. Dog friendly - yes, a dog surcharge, but no prepaid damage deposit as I’ve found in other hotels. Practical rather than glamorous and It’s exactly what the dog and I needed on a long trip. Would certainly recommend.

it was really quiet, clean and well furnished. the hotel is close to the water and there's a nice path to walk with a lot of sculpture near by. we had a big terrace with a private table. the staff was not there when we arrive nor when we left but the instruction that they had left us was perfect.

Great location near the water and a nice park nearby. Room price was very good until the pet fee was added.

We've stayed here in the past and feel like the property has fallen behind in maintenance. Areas need painting and small repairs. The pet fee is very high at $28 for one night for a small 10 lb dog.
