Location great but not user friendly at all

location fantastic

no human contact and digital entry to entrance, lift and room ridiculous- keybboard too hard to read and punch at entrance door - so frustrating! Just hire friendly front staff who greet you and hand you a swipe card?!!! Lights in room so poor you cannot read in bed!

It was ok, a bit different than what I expected.

The location is good.

The sound insulation is not good, I’ve heard the neighbors talking and the cleaning staffs shouting very loudly. Also, the photo of the building‘s exterior on the booking website is different than from the photo of the actual building.

Amazing room

The location is the best, near the subway and a most sights. The room has all the amenities, kitchenware. That's super comfortable.

Pas de deuxième couverture disponible malgré ma demande. Dommage de devoir laisser le chauffage toute la nuit au lieu d’utiliser une couverture

We liked it.

Very good location in the south of Manhattan. Well-equipped kitchen, very clean, large room.

Unfortunately there is one big negative point. Due to a flight cancellation, we had to stay an extra night in New York. Upon request via booking.com, we were given a price of $350 for the free room. This is extremely outrageous. We had to change hotels for one night.

Perfect location great accommodations happy people

Location was the best thing

The heat being broken was initially a problem but it didn’t end up being an issue. But should have it fixed and not just have the guest shut it off at the heater to stop it being 90 degrees in the room.

Great value for money location is good

Ease of checking in and out, the lockers for storage downstairs for our last day of exploring. Very well equipped kitchen with microwave. Good size bathroom the room has everything you need. It is about 5 minutes walk to the nearest metro station however the metro is no good for reaching attractions such as washington monument, lincoln memorial, capitol building. Better to walk or rent a bike or scooter.

No double glazing the streets are noisey, however sonder did provide a white noise machine.

Good location but not as well automated as promised.

The bed was comfortable and the location was very convenient. Gym is small but functional.

Access to the hotel is supposed to be fully automated (no staff). However, the front door didn’t work, room door was loose and had connectivity issues and some lights inside the room weren’t working either.

Como en casa.

Muy completo, con todo detalle, tanto el apartamento como el hotel en sí mismo (libre disposición de toallas, café...). El apartamento era muy muy grande, con zona de lectura incluso. La entrada autónoma funciona genial, es muy cómoda. La ubicación es muy buena para visitar lo más turístico de Washington, y alrededor del hotel hay unos cuantos sitios para comer.

Una mejora sencilla de implementar sería cambiar los enchufes por alguno de USB.

La ubicación del alojamiento es excelente y también es espacioso y bien equipado.

En las terminaciones del baño hay desgaste, no tiene ventana ni ventilación mecánica. Recomendaría instalar un equipo de ventilación mecánica. La pintura del cielo en la cocina tenía un parche.

Convenient apartment with small unvented bathroom

Good amount of space, well stocked kitchen, easy check in online, good keyless system. WiFi worked well, smart TV as well.

The bathroom had an air vent but seemingly no air flow. Also the air vent was quite dusty and dirty.

Good location. Needs some refreshment

Great Location. Kitchen was new and well equipped.

The apartment furniture seemed worn out. Insufficient lighting. The pass code system to enter the building worked poorly. The dial at the building entrance needs renewal. The evening before departure, I was not able to enter, nor could some other guests. Had to wait in sub-zero temperatue outside for half an hour until another guest opened the door on their way out to let us in. The Sonder contact number and text number did not work to call for help. The passcode dial in the elevator needs renewal. Bathrooms too.

No es un hotel realmente, no se preocupan por los clientes. Su sistema de comunicación es pésimo, no sé si hablo con una persona o con un robot. Mi código de entrada no funcionaba el primer día que llegué y por poco me quedo en la calle toda la noche (en pleno invierno). Mucho ruido en los pisos.

A true home away from home in the middle of DC

Where to start? We felt this place was perfect, better than anything we have had in so many years traveling worldwide. Our room was very spacious, the bed super comfortable. Equipment wise, there was everything: you name it, it’s there – any thinkable, non-extravagant kitchen utensil, iron and ironing board, of course a hairdryer, and even charging supplies for several electronics. It really feels like a home away from home and is so much better than any Airbnb you could get. You don’t interact with any person face-to-face, but the online interfaces work perfectly.

The hallways and lobby are a little bit dated (as opposed to the rooms), but it’s better this way than the other way around, and it doesn’t do anything bad to the core of the experience. I don’t like it that they almost force you to designate a time in which you’re going to check out. It gives you the feeling that you’re less flexible.

Great value for money

The Sonder is located in the heart of DC. It is a sort of a hotel apartment that is fully automated so no reception nor staff. You receive a code prior to your arrival and it gives you access to everything. The room I had was spacious with a dressing and a fully equipped kitchen. Very comfortable and modern. The hotel has a gym and various communal spaces like a laundry room etc. It is definetely a very good value for money for a very central location.

The building could use a little bit of a face lift but nothing to affect the stay.

Overall it’s good stay

Room was spacious, location was good and have close proximity to the city or downtown View to the city was good, and have a kitchen so you can cook. Paid tv service is available but i don’t use it

I arrived at 4 am - i have to wait outside until 5am to have someone open the door for me while it’s quite cold outside, wish they have more sophisticated check in process or at least getting in to the lobby.

De kamers zijn ruim en voorzien van alle gemak. Heerlijk bed en je kan in de ochtend je eigen koffie maken. Alles is lekker schoon. Prima badkamer die ook zeer schoon is.

De liften in het gebouw kunnen wel wat onderhoud gebruiken.

The apartment is well located. Facilities are great. Good place for solo travelers.

Great location, a home away from home

The stay was great, I really don't understand the negative reviews. They always responded quickly through the app. The room was spacious, comfortable and there was not much noise from the street. The bathroom even had a mirror that played music. It was great to have basic items in the kitchen (coffee, salt, sugar) and storage for extra necessities (more soap, for example). The room was clean when I arrived.

The only suggestion would be to change the work chair in the room, which was bad. It would also be nice to provide a water jug so that guests can fill up in places where there is a filter. And maybe have instructions on how to use the air. But there was no need to call during the stay.

Efficient stay. Short walks, rides to most things. Attending staff.

Everything was fairly new. Very efficient using the Sonder app for everything. Good variety of food choices nearby. The kitchen was handy and the laundry on every floor (first load free). 15-minute loading zone on the street was helpful. Attentive staff communication.

It was unusually hot in late October and they had turned off the AC. Uncomfortable for a few of days but they quickly provided us a stand fan. Also our room was in the rear above a noisy alley. Try to avoid those rooms.

La ubicación es muy buena. Cerca de todo . Muy buen acceso al eficiente transporte público , metro y bus… Muchas opciones para comer en los alrededores. Habitación cómoda. Laundry disponible en el mismo edificio

Iluminación mal diseñada, pobre Aire acondicionado no funcionó durante ola de calor en otoño…. Sofocante, desagradable. El baño era un sauna. Eché de menos un horno eléctrico

Sehr geräumiges und sauberes Appartment mit bequemen Betten. Einfacher Check-In und sofortige Antwort bei Rückfragen (in der Sonder-App). Wir waren eine Nacht dort und würden es weiterempfehlen :).
