The bed was one of the most amazing beds we’ve ever encountered in a hotel room. Not too soft, not too firm, just perfection. Also, great location for first timers as its very central. The room was clean, they changed our towels daily which was nice. The staff is very welcoming and we specifically liked that they offered umbrellas free of charge to take with you if it was raining.
We could hear all the traffic noises from 5th avenue (very clearly) from inside our room, so if you’re a light sleeper, it will definetely be problematic. However we were so tired after all the walking around and visiting that we just got used to it. And the bed and pillows more than make up for the noises.

The area of where this hotel is, is excellent, close to everything. Close to many subways
The room was small compared to other hotels there in NYC.
