Good stopover before our visit to the Eisenhower museum complex in Abilene.

Clean, comfortable, accessible, quiet

Great Staff Poor Facility

The location is good and most of the staff were ideal. The ice machine and elevator worked very well and the staff responded very well to solving problems and providing missing items listed as amenities.

We had to change rooms 3 times due to a lack of hot water. Eventually, we were told that the rooms that had the highest and lowest numbers had problems receiving hot water because they were too far away from the center of the building where the boiler is located. Walking across the floor in socks picked up a lot hair and dirt in the carpet. We also had trouble getting our room cleaned. We were told that for long stays they only clean the room once each three days, but, in our eight days, they only cleaned the room once. We asked the maid on the second floor if we were on the list to be cleaned and she said no. So we informed her that the room had not been cleaned in four days so she said she would clean it. But, upon returning to the room that night, only the bed sheets had been cleaned, the bathroom/bathtub cleaned, and the towels replaced. There were still stains around the coffee maker and the carpet had not been vacuumed. There was a broken/cracked window in the room, several missing amenities (hair dryer, coffee service (cups, sugar, etc.), our iron didn't work, and when the room was cleaned there was no toilet paper. We had to ask for some at the front desk. As head of maintenance for a hotel many years ago, it is my opinion that most of the staff was trying to do everything they could do to work around the lack of repairs and maintenance. I have traveled in many different countries for work and could always count on the Marriott for a consistent experience. This location needs the support of upper and local management to make professional repairs so that the staff is able to help guests without embarrassment. A note to the hotel maintenance staff: How can you expect the guest staff to take pride in the building if your work is sloppy and shows a "that's good enough" attitude. I have stayed at this hotel many times over the years and this is the worst condition I have ever seen.

Very good

Our room didn't get cleaned and we had to get clean towels from the front desk. Also had to request coffee from the front desk daily.

Very nice stay

It was a nice location and was clean. Beds were very comfortable.

The shower needed some attention in the corners. Kinda moldy. The restaurant didn't open on time so there was no coffee for us before getting in the road.

Ok overall but the front desk attendant was lazy and rude.

Location and pet friendly

The lady at the front desk was not very pleasant and does not seem to care about the guests experience. She has a bad attitude and does not get in a hurry for anything.

Superb

Breakfast offerings were over-priced. We went elsewhere. The room was beautifully decorated and equipped with convenient floor plan. Location was handy to the highway and many offerings.

Shower curtain was so long I feared to trip on it. Please cut off 3-5" or raise the curtain rod. Strong light and strong glasses were required to see which pumper was Shampoo, Conditioner, Body wash. Better labeling needed.

Disappointing

The fridge was cold

Paid almost 82.00 more than quote at checkin..wanted towels for the full 3 days so didn't have to track down housekeeping for the duration of stay but none was available because of short staff and laundry. Woke up in morning and ran water through coffee maker which was a nasty brown had to wash and rerun through 6x to get clean water. grabbed package of creamer/sugar/stir stick just to find out that it had already been open and only had a sweet n low in it..gross..even if hotels don't have a continental breakfast they shld at least have fresh fruit or something. We stay at courtyard by Marriott often and have never had a bed that made both our backs stiff. Appearantly there was a dog next door I personally believe they shld have a designated floor for that..girl at the front desk on second night was to busy braiding her hair to give me the reason I was over charged. I have never had to ask for a microwave..I called hotel directly and was told they were sold out then booked through booking.com and ask when I got there she said they are shirt staffed. We had an emergency and drove 9 hours to get to topeka ks hospital after finding out father n law was missing and in icu. Worst experience at a courtyard..ever

close to restaurants and off the highway so it was quiet

the first room we went to was dirty and not cleaned, they got us a new room quickly but there was old food in the fridge and the A/C was unplugged and we had to problem solve to get it to work.

It served the purpose for my visit there and I was very comfortable there during my stay.

I like how close it is to shopping and restaurants, that you can actually walk there especially if the weather is nice. Our first night there was peaceful. The Fitness Center is state of the art. They have a Starbucks Breakfast Bistro, but not everything Starbucks.

There were some young boys, preteen to early teen boys there and they decided to run on our floor to bang on our hotel door which was annoying seeing that they did it twice and yes, I called front desk. Also, this hotel did not house a swimming pool nor a hot tub which I was disappointed about, but it didn't ruin my stay completely.

The location was good for traveling close to many stores and restaurants. The room and bed were clean and comfortable.

They could have offered a complementary breakfast, but there was a charge. Also, the staff was not so helpful as our room didn´t have a microwave and although they offered to look for one they never did.
